^yeah.. i just want to fill up my walls and have something to gaze at when i'm thinking deeply.

i don't want art right now because i live in a cheap ghetto apartment right now and it's not worth the cost to hang expensive artwork and besides who knows where i'll move next and if art will even look good there. but with posters you really aren't out much money and they tend to be pretty universal in terms of identifiability

fuck you ... all right? you wanted to know if posters are still cool and the answer is (surprise) that they are not. you are mad at us for offering you better ideas or you are mad that your trolling didn't work. if you want good posters buy a tween magazine and cut out the pictures of your favourite boys-pop-stars, and put them on your wall with sticky tack.

if you want the real advice, which is to generally have everything framed so you don't look like a slob, scroll up in this thread and stop ignoring the people trying to help you

and just for the record, if you're paying 20 bucks for a canvas print you are probably not getting a true giclee quality print on real canvas. That stuff retails around here for 15 - 20 a square foot! A 2x3 should be costing you atleast 90 bones.

Who needs sticky tack?

The projectile drool and semen create a perfectly effective adhesive.

So for something to be art it has to be expensive...?

Use picassa and mosaic creator to make a giant mosaic of all your best photos.. get it printed out on some large high quality paper.. then make a wooden frame and wrap it around the frame so you can see it on the edges too.. works a treat!

this is a stupid argument but i'll continue it for the purposes of this thread. canvas printing companies usually have sales once in a while where you can get 40-60% off prints. i wait around for these before buying and save lots of money. there is always an "enter promo code" option on the order forms. you can always email and ask to get a discount on a multiple-canvas order.
