I have a great idea: blender smoothies!

My sister gave me a really nice blender for my birthday over a month ago and I still haven't used it (never even owned a blender before in my life).

I'm so sick of eating 5-dollar footlongs, I want to go on a liquid diet for a while.

What is a good, easy smoothie recipe? Something you have made yourself and that you can personally vouche for.

So far a strawberry-banana smoothie is all I can think of.

I want something simple but substantial and nutritous.

I still have teeth and no digestive issues so I do not eat/drink smoothies...sorry.

I have this most mornings:

GREEN SMOTHIE

A handful of baby spinach
A handful of frozen mango or peach
One frozen banana
One spoonful of frozen orange juice or pineapple juice
One pint of water


Put the water and spinach leaves in the blender and blend until nothing but green water remains (about 10 seconds).

Put the other stuff in and blend. Add more water if you need to.


I promise, you won't taste the spinach, only the fruit.

smoothies ftw.


Just add plain yogurt to thicken it up, juice to make it more liquidy, and ice or frozen fruits to make it more smoothy-like lol.

After that just add whatever you want based on its nutrition or taste and you are good to go.

and word like capt said, honey is awesome.



Also if any of you guys are in Penn Station train terminal in new york city between like 1am - 5am, you should go and get a smoothy at this one place. I cant remember the name of it but it is like the only store open in penn station that late and they make such kickass smoothies. DOIT

I always use milk and an egg or two. Peanut butter and banana, banana and a handful of mixed frozen fruit are what I have been doing lately. Not very exiting but it tastes good. If I don't really have anything I'll just use eggs, milk, brown sugar and vanilla.
