Yeah, this is definitely the fate of pretty much every career dealer I ever knew.

I remember a lad I went to school with, Joey, was the first person I bought a weed from, first dealer I ever knew, throughout our 20's he was always projecting the image of success.
Every time I saw him he was driving a different beast, well dressed, trophy girl etc etc... I always thought he'd make it proper, but nope.

Last time I saw him he looked more skint than me, I dunno if he even went away, but he fell off big time.

That's always been my main objection to dealing as a full time job, it's too temporary.
Not too difficult to make decent money in the short term, but it only lasts for a lucky few.

Where I live about 50% of the kids, and a good percentage of grown men, delude themselves that they're gangsters.
Their delusions annoy me as it's hard to ignore, but I can see where the temptation is though, when I was younger I was impressed by the illusion of wealth that most of them project, and dabbled for a time, but I was never a money driven type and always had other preoccupations that took priority in my life.

In fact I am truly retarded when it comes to earning money, but that's another thread altogether.

I'm a gardener for "billionaires" you can make more money selling exercise equipment/inventing a new device...asopposed to doing something that will land your ass, raped in jail, or your face blow torched off because you fawked up.

Guy I'm buying off of now has been doing it off and on for 30 years or more.

No Idea what he pulls in but he has 5 "delivery people" and always has the best quality...and variety...never holds more than an eighth himself.

eights of grand master kush , bubble gum, green goo go for $60 a pop...and no price break.

And I'd add, two of his delivery people do not use cannabis at all themselves, other than for business.

never get high off your own supply.

You see the difference. One makes his habit/hobby a business, the other makes his business his business.

much easier to keep things straight.

I've known quite a few but one was way ahead of the others. He sold lots of extremely good bud and crystal mainly but would sell anything he could flip for money....drugs, cd's, etc. He got rid of most of his hard drugs through runners though...never really dealt anyone else but them for the most part. He had in cash what most people make in many many years. You'd have never known by looking at him though....no fancy anything.

This guy was in his 30's but had been at it 10+ years. He did use but he sold so much that what he used was a very very minute portion. Not to mention he was getting the stuff for dirt cheap. His guy was probably the biggest in that region of the state at least. Kinda guy who you really don't want to deal with. Last I talked to him he was still at it. I only smoke pot now though so I tend to stay away from anyone in the business of making money off hard stuff. I've witnessed "death by association" first hand...nothing to do with cops but just people that are fucked off in the head.

Print Font: + - A federal drug suspect from Swissvale pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge on Thursday.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said 34-year-old Griffin Abel conspired to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana and arranged for five 100-pound shipments in duffel bags from California and Nevada to Pittsburgh, where the drugs were delivered to him for distribution.

Abel was arrested in November 2010 after a marijuana shipment was intercepted by police in Kansas. Prosecutors said guns, a bulletproof vest, scales, cash and a money-counting machine Also seized at that time.

The federal Drug Enforcement Administration conducted the investigation.

Abel will be sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Maurice Cohill on Sept. 18. The maximum possible penalty is not less than five years and not more than 40 years in prison, and a $2 million fine.

Someone's gotta do it.

Mercury would probably give out pink tank-tops to his regular customers.

Shit I wouldn't even know where to find anything besides weed or shrooms (not that I want to), I've never bought off anyone who sold more then that...I'd be a terrible dealer, if I got weed I'm smoking it.

I met a bloke like that at college, you'd never guess it but he was shifting serious amounts of coke. Ended up getting caught, wont be seeing him for a while.

I know a lot of people who had the dreams of being drug dealers. TV and movies make it look pretty cool but I've never wanted to deal drugs in my life. But I had a similar fantasy. I kind of always wanted to be a stick up kid. Omar Little style. Kind of actually taking advantage of those trying to be drug dealers. I've met a number of people in my life who dealt like Bikers and shit I would not want to fuck with. But I also met quite a few low to mid level dealers who don't seem to really know what they're doing.

I knew guy who had a home invasion by two guys with baseball bats who stole a couple thousand dollars worth of drugs and money. Not a few hundred dollars but a couple thousand. I asked him if him or the guy he worked for were going to try and track them down or anything. After all they stole quite a bit from him and humiliated him. He told me that he wasn't going to worry about it. Is it really that easy to rip and run? But alas fantasies are just that fantasies.

My guy one time had around 30k worth of crystal stolen from him while he was not home. I don't think he ever found out who did it but he moved right away and installed a pretty extensive security system the next go around.

Chances are if your guy was moving any kind of decent amount then 2k wasn't worth the hassle of stirring up a bunch of shit.

Is it easy to rip and run.....well, some people don't get caught, some people get beat down, some people robbed, some people get shot, etc. Roll your die....
