Especial in yoga were positioning is so important. It might feel like your butt extended past your shoulder blades or, it might seem like your backs aligned. Having someone how can evaluate you from different angles helps a lot as well. My suggestion would be take a few classes 4-5 get the basics done, and take it from there. Once you feel like you have master a few positions take another few classes. And always think about your breathing, try to keep it in your back pocket so to speak. Like right now I am breathing nice and slow in through my nose, thinking about my diaphragm.
yeah, thinking about it, i remembered that my buddy has done yoga from way back and has spent hundreds of dollars on classes and wants to start his own. so i should be set. it's just the driving issue. all in good time.

How High is probably the only "stoner" movie I enjoy watching. It was really under appreciated but it's taken on a kind of cult status, and they're making a sequel so that should be good.

Back on topic: once you stop drinking soda for awhile fender it becomes almost unbearable to start drinking it again, too sweet, I hate it.

Give me a nice pomegranate juice or cranapple and I'm set, tho many juices are also loaded with sugar I'm sure it would be a good replacement for coke.

I've been drinking a lot of Vietnamese coffee cuz these immigrants opened a resteraunt by my house and it's only 1.50 which is way less than starbux. It's really sweet so that's kind of my soda now. So good tho.

was that the one with the smart-weed?

or to topic-just go to water. i had to switch from primarily sodas back before summer, then started getting dehydrated like crazy, and when i noticed how much better my judgement and mental functions work when i'm not dehydrated, it's not hard to stick with it.

i just drank first soda in weeks and i almost feel ill. so gassy.

after awhile, the water from your house just tastes right.

Sometimes I even get dehydrated when I leave the house without a waterbottle. I usually bring one with me everywhere

EDIT: I DO NOT buy bottled water... I buy iced tea in the glass bottles, run them through the dishwasher to reuse them over and over and over. Refill and put back into the fridge to cool down with the other five of them

2nd Edit: I recycle ALL plastic btw

REAL TALK

Even though you boiz got into it a little, I still think you had a really good conversation and brought up some interesting points on both sides....

I learned more about both of you, and I think that is great

Quote:
One of the most important things you can learn, if you want to become a better person throughout your life is this: be open to another person's honest criticism of you.
Quoting this for truth. ^

Not because you aren't Fender or anything like that... it's just good stuff.

I think second part of 'becoming a better person' is also learning how to express a criticism as well as respond with an open-mind.

I've heard the ratio for more successful outcomes of criticism is 3:1
3 good or relatively supportive acknowledging statements to one criticism or concern.

Was my ratio correct here ?

the first time i did it was because i was learning how to cook vegetarian food to feed my sister because i thought she wasn't eating enough protein. after learning some recipes i decided to try it for a while to see for myself about all of the stuff people say about a vegetarian diet: how it makes them with more energy and feeling better and whatever. my own personal experience with this is that it makes no difference, since i was already eating a pretty high quality diet.

so ya. i dunno why i do it and why i switch. sometimes i eat meat and sometimes i don't. i think summer weather makes me want to eat greasy meat and winter makes me want to eat vegetable soups.
Amen to all that Capt. 10+ years and I'm still learning new stuff about you all the time.

I'd say 'learning to cook vegetarian' because of your interest/concern about your sister's diet is extremely insightful and thought out.

It's commendable even.

I gladly welcome you to the vegetarians who have hunted club, even if you swing, or rather especially because, both ways....

**soap box alert**

Having people on the fence between these two 'worlds' or having had experience in the 'both', in my opinion is how more people will be made aware of an alternative to the 'meat at every meal' diets many of us were raised with.

Having people who have to the fullest extent of the processes involved, 'tasted life' on both sides of the spectrum it adds some credibility to what a lot of people just write off a 'too far out there lefty'...

IE> The second a 'meat eater' hassles me about being a vegetarian, shit ends real quick when I ask them how many animals they've killed and cut up in their life.... brings a little reality.... and once you start talking about gutting... it's too much reality for some

But Ex makes a good point early... no matter what your choice, it's best if we can know the sources and be aware of the people's and animals lives that are getting the food to our plate.

THAT is what I advocate more than either 'side'... being thankful.

Yeah dude, water is where it's at. If you're trying to make changes that will make you healthier overall, switching to water is an easy one to make. After a few weeks of cutting down on the sugary bullshit, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. My routine is to drink water all day, anytime I'm thirsty, with the exception of a cup of coffee in the morning and sometimes hot tea sweetened with honey at night along with a fat bowl in the vaporizer to help me wind down (yummmmm).

Decaf/non-caf teas are hydrating if kids want something different than water.
Also makes good cold tea.

i pretty much only drink water and cokecola lol. I drink a lot of water.

Water all day and coke with meals usually. I still want to replace coke with another good meal-time drink though. Shit is gonna rot my teeth if nothing else.

I buy gallons of distilled and then put it in one of those glass jugs with the carbon filter on top.
I still use shitty plastic bottles for on the go use though b/c for some reason i never thought of cat's idea to use those ice-tea bottles. totally gonna start using that.

And yeah im sure that bottled distilled water has picked up a few contaminates along the way, but it is still probably (hopefully) better than the contaminated solution of a liquid you call that shit from the tap or even most bottled.

I plan to drop a few hundred on a personal distiller as soon as i can.

If you are worried about plastic contaminates in your water, you should also be aware of how fucked your water is to begin with.

My county has the best drinking water in the area from an extremely untouched aquifer, yet it is still fucked.

In a state where like 2/3's of the ground is paved, run-off is a bitch.

Out in the middle of the country where all the farming happens, there may be less paved roads, but that just means that all those fertilizers they use go directly downward into the largest aquifer in the country (which is already totally getting raped by the agriculture industry just in terms of use). Im sure some chems get filtered out by the sand and dirt but not enough.

Not to mention if there is any filtration of the water before it gets to your house, it barely does shit, not to mention carbon filters leaving in many many many undesired chemicals. Reverse osmosis (used a lot in bottled water) removes a lot of shit but still leaves in many undesirables still.

Distilling your water is the ONLY way to have anything close to a pure product. Distillation with the addition of a carbon filter and you are pretty much golden.

a couple hundred bucks and you can have a mini stainless steal home distiller and actually be drinking WATER and not some solution. Solid investment IMO

Couple hundred bucks? Did you perchance just regurgitate all that info from the bottom of a super expensive water filter site?
You're funny kid. You should prolly be more concerned with that fuckin cola you're drinkin.

She’s laughing because of a sociological phenomenon called teasing.
It’s when a self conscious person tries to be accepted or gain friends by laughing, or making fun of someone else, in this case you.

Have you done water tests? What have you found that leads you to believe you need a water distiller?
