I cant remember the name of the ingredient, but there is one specific ingredient they use to deter 'abuse' (rec use), and if you find a brand without that in it, you should be good, unless your stomach is just not in the right place for all that syrup that day etc.

guaifenesin, and it is used as an expectorant, it just causes nausea and vomiting when consumed in large doses.
