Werd, I haven't lived near the place where I grew up for a long time and it's actually nice to go back to see my hometown.

I lived away in another state 18 hours away, for 2 years and then moved back in Penn for 4 years ,living to the east of my home town by about 2 hours.. but it's really a world away in many respects.

In that eastern town I met some people from Harrisburg and other parts of the State, while attending church up there in the capitol, and I starting hearing people say 'we think it's cute', when they talk about passing through this little town they stayed in and had to pass through to get to a local ski resort outside of the town proper.

It was my hometown... I lol'd when I saw their faces once I started talking about growing up there.

I love doing things in my community, particularly anything related to arts and crafts. If it's crafty and it's going down in my city, you can bet that I dipped my curious little fingers in it at some point.

living in a small town i think has made me appreciate getting to know the populace. i see people that i check out all over town, and they're always happy to see me and bend my ear about something. it's a good feeling. i'd call them white trash, but they are just dirt poor and very uneducated. but they're good people, don't get me wrong, i'm not rich or extremely educated,

I lived in 2 towns that had a nice community feel, but I did not live there long enough to get really involved.
even though Albany is the capital of NY it still has a small city feel, well it is a small city. I really miss Albany. most people I know do not really care for Albany, but I went from a town of 3,000 to Albany. I really got involved, I feel like I gave a piece of me to Albany, and Albany gave me a little of it's self. I could still see myself there someday, I guess not in the city, you know, with the whole dogs thing...
