Oh man where to start. I guess firstly, we're both still alive, together, happy as life's circumstances allow us to be. BF has had increasingly failing health almost two years now, we're getting tired, but hangin in. Staying stoned as much as possible of course.

Things have been running pretty smoothly around here. Many old timers stopping in.
Server was recently upgraded and is working good thanks to Residual Envy (new guy) Admin. Mods are keeping out the trash.

I've been unemployed about 2 years now, and in another 2 can go on SS.

And we miss you two.

Ya, I've been unemployed since April of last year, when I had to quit to take care of husband. Thank goodness for Mr. Obama, and his federal unemployment extentions. I am currently on my third tier, and know sadly I will have to return to working by the end of the year. I am contracted thru the state of california and ihss, to be my husband's caregiver, so that helps too, altho the pay is shit. But I Love my boss!!

I had two claims here in PA. I'm on tier 1 of second claim. My last job I worked at for 13 years so maybe that had something to do with it. But yes indeed I'd be on public assistance if it weren't for the extensions.

You mean to say you are one of the 99er's? Have you been collecting more than the max 99 weeks? I have heard that there is a final extention, that is different from the first four tiers... I am not looking forward to the stress of going back to work, mainly because there is no way I will allow an outside caregiver to take care of my husband. NO ONE would do for him all I do, not to mention it would just be weird!

oh yea.

April 2009 I was reduced to 4 work days a week, then in October 2009 I went to 0 work days a week, so I'm running on tiers upon tiers.

Soon tho I'll be in a "no more tiers" situation. States need to request funding for those extensions and so far PA has had high enough umemployment rate that those requests are being made. Technically my tier 1 runs out in jan 2012. Not sure what happens then, because Obama wants to continue the extensions, the GOP doesn't. My guess is that I'll qualify for tiers 2 and 3 on this second claim. But that's not a given.

Hey Roach, that gives me a bit of hope, that maybe at least I can stay home with husband for a little while longer.
To everyone else, thanks for your kindness and well wishes. All hugs and hello's will be passed along.
I wish I could say he was doing better. That's just not the case. In fact we had quite a scare a few weeks back, his heart went into V-tach, which means it was beating so fast that it wasn't pumping blood properly. I thought he had died in my arms, so scary, and an image I'll never ever get out of my
Head. He's ok for now, tired of the fight but still fighting. But so so tired.
We've been thru more than two 38 year olds should ever have to deal with. I'm thankful he doesn't remember a lot of it, but unfortunately I'll
Never forget..
