Bourbon Street Goes Dodge City on Halloween

NEW ORLEANS, LA., (Indiana's NewsCenter)--- Halloween turned into chaos during New Orleans Halloween celebrations when gunfire erupted leaving 15 people shot, two of whom died.

The first incident occurred just after midnight in the 400 block of Bourbon Street near the iconic Chris Owens nightclub. That's when police believe two men began firing at one another, striking a total of eight people during the exchange.

A Police spokesman says one of those shot on Bourbon was killed. That victim, a 25-year-old man, died at a local hospital. Another one of the victims was shot in the hip and the others suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Two hours later, police were called to another shooting near Canal and Burgundy streets. That's where two men and two women were shot and one person was killed.

Around 4 a.m., a third incident later left another person wounded near North Prieur and Spain streets.

Around 5:30 a.m., in a fourth shooting, two people were shot in the 1200 block of Louisa Street, near St. Claude Avenue.

That's shitty.

Someone attacked my neighbor in my alley last night too. She had to got to the hospital, got beat on the head pretty bad I understand.

Was pretty freaky cuz I'm standing out in the alley smoking a joint and her brother pops out of the house and comes over to me and tell me that his sister was just attacked here right where I'm standing like an hour and a half ago.

Buzz was killed.
