and maybe its just his shirt, but i wondered if this is someone we know. i mean, im not gonna name names, ill just say this pic made me lol thinking it was who i think it is.


since that wasnt enough of a topic for even a ffa thread, i want to talk about something else: my sister had a loser boyfriend that i encouraged her to break up with.

the situation was this: the boyfriend had a house with a mortgage that my sister was making the payments on. she was also making car payments, and paid for the insurance and gas on said cars (two of them). she also paid all the utilities, cables and interwebs, bought all the furniture, blankets sheets pillows towels and furnishings in the house, kept the kitchen well stocked with foods and cooked his dinner when she got home from her hour commute from working her full time job.

the boyfriend on the other hand, has been unemployed for over a year and likes to smoke weed, watch tv and play his guitar all day, and complain about how my sister is always messing up his stuff, and call her fat and ugly.

so everyone was telling her to dump him, and she asked me what i thought. i told her to dump him. so now she is staying in a really crappy tiny apartment, and all her furniture, books and whatnot are in a storage unit.


so she is unhappy, feeling like her whole life was a big waste of time, forever alone, yadda yadda yadda.

so the reason i bring all this up is that i was hoping someone could make some encouraging remark and i could quote it to her, because i want to help her keep her spirits up but i feel like im just repeating myself when i tell her she did the right thing and she should be happy to be free of the torment of such a parasite. she gets really mad if i say anything even remotely "religious" so im trying hard not to go there.

i know G&S would have been a more proper forum for this but i didnt think about it until just now. also, i realize all the boys will ask for pics but there will be no pics.

finally, a quick question shout out to the Rev, did you take refuge already?

Thanks for thinking of me, V3d4. Not yet. I have talked to my Dharma teacher about it, and he says that he would prefer that one of the head honchos from Taiwan do the ceremony. That guy is supposed to be in town some time this month, and I'm just waiting to find out when, then we'll figure a time for it. If I can, I'll get some pix and post them.

As for your sis, all I would say is when things get good again, she'll be glad she made the decision she did. It's just hard to feel like ripping the band-aid off was the right thing to do when it still hurts. It's only later, when you realize you don't have to keep pulling out hairs, that you're glad you did what you did.

Well the hardest part is over... She is out of the relationship, a lot of people can hold on to shitty relationships for years and years. Now she has the relationship behind her, its all positive, she can work on getting what she wants out of life, and not need to worry about anyone else.
