Have you ever been to a hookah bar?

These things are popping up everywhere. I haven't checked them out and I don't know what to expect. I've never smoked anything besides weed out of a hookah, so I don't know if I will like it. I'm guessing it's chill. Probably depends on the bar itself.

Thoughts? Tips?

My son lives in one of these places. Hookahs and Hookah bars seem to be really popular with kids in their early 20's. Seems like a fad to me, soon to pass.

I haven't been to one but they are building one in my town. I'm gonna check it out. As far as you liking it I'm sure your right it depends on the bar. I figure they will be full of stoners or the "hip"

You can't even smoke inside a tobacco based business? No cigar lounges, etc?

Why don't they just call themselves a private club and get exempt from that law?

The law covers any workplace. Plus councils in the northeast are well aware of places opening as private members clubs to get around laws, for years all the all nighter raves were ran as private clubs to get around opening time laws.

if the hookah is tobacco and not fake herbal stuff i can't handle it. hookah bars are okay and there was one that let us smoke joints in canada sometimes. i get dizzy if i smoke any quantity of tobacco so its not really my thing. i went to one in istanbul and it was chill, but the tobacco was strong

I have some friends who love their hookah. Its such a ritual to them, its like the holy hooka.
I too do not like mass amounts of tobacco.

Used to go to one in murfreesboro. but i don't smoke tobacco anymore, and nicotine doesn't agree with me in any quantity (as some others have stated) but if I were to ferment some scullcap, damiana and marshmallow leaf, maybe some blue lilly petals, some pedicularis chunked up into it, really ferment it at 90+% humidity for a week or two, till it browns,

I could go for that.

Some neat preparations i try to use for tobacco with other plants, makes for interesting experiments.

Trying something right now for humidors, they're packets of a few mL of distilled water, and the packaging is a humidity dependent osmotic filter-When the ambient humidity in the humidor drops below, say, 70%, the packets release a few uL of water. Had to leave a carrot in overnight for the initial treatment, as always, but since then I have not had to mess with it, and the carrot treatment was usually a weekly routine.
