are you a skeezy bastard?

You never really know who you are, you know? And slowly but surely you can become someone who you aren't aware you are becoming.

Imagine someone seeing you for an ordinary walk down the street, how do you think they precieve you?

Would they think "Oh there's an intelligent, well mannered, dapper gentlemen out for some fresh air".

Or would they think "Ugh, another jobless drug user at large on the public thoroughfare".

And what efforts do you make to convince people you are who you are?

I think a lot of times I get mistaken for being a completely different person than I think I am. But then again, if I am giving a particular impression at any given moment, then whose to say I am not actually being that kind of person?

I think I am definitely a skeevy bastard sometimes.

I say really inappropriate things to my female friends that would get me slapped if I had a schlong. So yes, I am.

I think a lot of people of a lot of different opinions of me. I don't like people having the wrong opinion of me. I mean for the most part you if someone has a particular opinion of you its for a reason. All I want is people to think I am a good person. and I think I am.

I've never had anyone act as if they perceive me like I perceive myself. In fact, I think most people just make a quick assumption based on appearance and that's it. There are times when I will see someone really ordinary looking, and in my mind I think "there's nothing really there, is there?", and when I catch myself thinking this way, I take a long look at them and wonder about the world that exists inside them and all it's dimensionless complexity. Everyone is a universe unto themself, but it's easy to forget that when you have a habit of recognizing and labeling things.

People tend to like people who look like video game characters, so i get a warm reception being as i look like mario - the plumming outfit..

But i am a man of the people, those who make money being dignified and shit would want nothing to do with me, but that is by design...

my aha moment was a few years back when i saw this girl with a tshirt that said "I am another you"

and it made me go, "shit everybody has the exact same existential thoughts I do...thats fucking crazy" .

and ever since ive thought about things somewhat differently.

Its more due to having a new group of friends that dont really do drugs and lack of access to drugs more than anything else

3 wolf moon is a meme.

I'm in the process of growing a beard. I have hair down to my shoulders (though it's always in a ponytail at work.)

I wear slacks and collared shirts though, so I dunno.

Hard to say.

I've learned that when a guy grows a beard he makes a conscience decision to be confused with the homeless. The homeless effect is especially heightened when you wear a knit hat.

I always dressed professionally, I have a very modest haircut and I wear glasses but I have my nosed pierced (small hoop). Most people don't even notice it. I think my image subs me up pretty well. and I usually have one of my many Flaming Lips tshirts as my undershirt. but people cant see that

i ask myself this question frequently.

i think people see a very nonthreatening skinny white male with poor confidence.

i dont really make too much of an effort to look a certain way, fashion and overly caring about your appearance is contrary to my beliefs, so i guess my appearance is making the statement that i dont care about my appearance? if that makes any sense. but i do try to make an effort to make eye contact and do a small smile and wave to someone if i am passing them on a non busy street so at least they think im a friendly person.
