Moving forward

Day 94 of my sobriety, treading in deeper water now. Recovery is different than just sobriety. It's about accepting life on life's terms. A person can't change the world, only themselves. Recovery is a process, but you don't gradually get better like a slope. It's a roller coaster.

I want to accept other yahookans. This is the "score" I want to settle. I'm here to work on loving fellow yahookans despite my jealousy of you guys being able to enjoy marihuana. Weed acted as a catalyst for me to delay responsiblity. I probably have a personality disorder or something.

I admit I've made some unpleasant troll comments on here. My intention is to make other laugh and we can all move forward together.

Let's admit it, winter is upon us. It's cold, dark, miserable outside. The forum is slow, most people have low energy. And I don't even have weed to keep me entertained.

I have to accept I will never have weed again. We will all get through this winter and the hard times ahead. Just keep smiling and doing what you have to.

Whatever, there isn't much direction to this thread except moving forward.

It may suck at times, but all the money I've saved plus not having to worry about always buying a bag, having lighters, pipes....cleaning my pipe...

It isn't that bad actually. I had a great day of rock climbing today and some good job prospects opening up.

I quit for a job that is possibly going to open up at my work.

Threw out all my weird rc powders, stopped drinking except for a few shots of good vodka once in a blue moon, quit drinking simple sugar beverages on the reg, drinking more green tea and no coffee. Basically I just quit junk food cold turkey and eat more brown rice and quinoa mixtures, fibrous starches, legumes, raw protein from 100%plant sources, nuts, good quality meats, fish, and fruits and veggies. I literally did a 180° turnaround two months ago after my nutritionist visit. It was hard at first cutting out the gluten and sugar but my taste buds adapted quickly and have no craving for simple sugar insulin rushes anymore.

Hell I barely take my soma anymore cuz I get so tired from it, working 60+ hours a week.

I have no life, but I just took control of it. I'm still waiting on my drug test strips to see if I'm clean below the metabolite threshold.

Good work, man! I'm trying to quit sodas, myself. I tend to drink them compulsively, to the tune of a 12-pack of diet a day, and my daughter has been on my to quit. The eating better thing is next. I'm a junk food whore, and at an age where you can't do that without paying the price anymore. I haven't drank in awhile, or smoked for that matter, either. I want to quit both for at least awhile, since I'm looking for work.

Yep. Dudes been a dick since he came back. And he was a dick before. Cant expect us to turn on a dime just cuz he makes some emo fucking shit post.

Hes in the negative in regards to respect points, maybe if he doesnt act like a dick for awhile my empathy for him and his situation might increase a little.
