any idea on why you arent supposed to use hot water in coffee machines? like Sir-ex i think said? like it saying not to ON the coffee machine thing.

i just told my dad to do it, since i dont drink coffee, and how he thought something similar.

I just told him to go for it. If his coffee maker explodes causing glass to fly into his neck and kill him... it's on you geeno

Good point. My machine is so fast because it has 2 aluminum canisters filled with water and always hot (needs to be plugged in of course). I think anything above tap water temp would be ill advised, at least in my machine. I don't recall reading anything about it though.

I live in one of those old-ass houses with ancient plumbing. yeah, you dont drink hot water... ever lol.

anyways - coffee. I hate coffee. Despise the smell, the taste, everything. And I don't know why (maybe my ex mother in law's disgusting cigg butts in the coffee for days?). And I hate tea. All of it, the flavor is just too weird.

But i discovered godliness in the form of a cup.
I had ordered take out from the indian restaurant and they never made it. so when i was waiting for it, they gave me a free cup of Chai Tea. Never have I had chai latte before. never.

This was like discovering good weed for the first time. For some reason, I love the chai tea (probably because it is mostly spices, not herbal). Venti vannila chai latte please.

And now, I introduce it to people I know (mostly older people and hispanics who have never heard of it) and they fall in love.

tl;dr chai tea is amazing, and when prepared with vanilla will bring the world together

has anyone tried this black blood of the earth stuff?

BBotE vs. Coffee | funraniumlabs.com

The Black Blood of the Earth (or BBotE for short) is a cold vacuum extraction coffee concentrate. It was created by a diabetic with a sweet tooth out of his need for caffeine but without adding sugar and cream to cover the bitterness. While the goal was to make a rich, flavorful coffee full of delicious oils, caffeine was also concentrated as a pleasant surprise. According to back of the envelope rough estimates, the caffeine was concentrated about 40 times higher than normal drip coffee...so, drink responsibly. I recommend consuming no more than 100ml per DAY (3.5oz approx.)

I think you could do the same at home with the proper glassware, maybe a buchner funnel, but the concept is certainly interesting.

seems pretty pricey though.

The only coffee I have ever enjoyed is Kopi Luwak but it costs like $150/lb. So, fuck coffee.
