***OFFICIAL SageTree checking in from the Road Threadliness***

Hey Folks,

Glad to see you all again.

Sorry I haven't been around at all for a while, but I KNEW there would be a lot of catch up here and was waiting for a good day to do so.

I've been lurking, no signed in though and am familiar with what has been going on around here.... What a show!

As you know this is an unusally interesting time in my life and maybe you've seen these threads? :

My SHITTY New Story of the Day, Afterall... (Immigration Blues)
And then,
Maine, Have you been there?

Right now I'm in the States getting stuff together for our Road trip that my Wife and I are taking in December. We'll be heading to Cali and back before we go up to Maine, if that IS where we end up at this point.

My Wife's job is trying to get her to stay on casual and work at a distance for 2 days a week, flying in to meet face to face once every other week, from January through May. This will allow us to live where we want to and she'll be working less and making more actually....

So this is a strong poss.

I found a Jeep to travel in and am getting it ready to live out of, more or less.
Got a good price on an older model, one owner Cherokee Sport, and man.... it goes over anything (not that I've tried )

At the moment my Wife isn't here yet, but am going to get her and start on our journey on the 25th of this month. I'm at my Grama's house, taking care of her after a surgery she had, which was good timing.

I'm visiting friends and spending some good time with my Dad, which is much needed on the later.

I'll be rarely checking in from about now until the middle of January, depending which coarse we take (work in Maine/Travel work at a distance), so heads up everyone.

Help preseve and sustain this place and give the Mods a hand on finding spam or reporting things that are bringing this place down (which happens from time to time )

You ARE Yahooka, so take care, love each other and be well.

Don't be scared to use the report button to bring stuff to attention.

Its confidential, safe and doesn't equal a ban...
MOST times, it's just to talk about 'the life' of what is happening here and talking about situations, keeping an eye on them and see if they escalate.

Basically though, I'm just saying, help be some extra ears and eyes on the boards, and take it easy on the Mods while I'm gone.

You are all good folks and I've missed talking with you daily, so know I'm thinking about you all.

Until Friday I'll be signing in and updating folks on questions or how to get a hold of me.

Speaking of that.... if you are interested we can FB each other or swap emails. I'm also not opposed to sending a post card to you if you'd like.

ALSO: I might be heading through your area.

We are going through OH,IN,IL,KS,CO,ID,WA ,OR,CA,AZ,NM,TX,LA,M I,AL,FL,GA,SC,NC,VA, MD,PA... and then after that may or may not be going to Maine, depending on how it works out.... If we do other wise, we'll likely setting in Burlington VT, since there are cheap direct flight to TO, for her work, and becaue we like VT so damned much!

If you have an open couch for two people and a cat, let me know... maybe a visit or just a coffee or beer will work out... just sayin' it's possible and am just putting out feelers for now. So if you are interested I can share some more route information with you and see if we are passing by.

At the moment we are staying with HTAM for a couple days, and hopefully meeting up with Rev.

So if you have any questions for feedback, PM/Post or what ever you prefer.

For those friends already on FB w/ me, keep an eye out for pictures and posts. That is likely where I'll be on more while we are traveling.

CHEERS FOLKS!!! MAJOR LOVE!!!!

You're going through the shittiest part of the country man. But your destination is good.

Moving around feels totally meaningless if your end goal is not reached. I hope your goal is reached. I'm in TN to basically escape from homelessness, no joke.

I've already driven across the country on the 90 and 80 corridor, so now 70 I suppose. There is plenty of interesting stuff along the way... you just have to dig a little for it.

Just being on the road is the goal, so I'm like... already there

Also, I have no idea what 'escape homelessness' means.

My parents cut the cord and my brother is letting me stay with him. This is a rotten town with no job prospects.

You didn't mention stopping through tn, and my parent's home is too crowded with people as is, so sleepover's are out. but should you find yourselves in the area, there's certainly a place to stop and shower/eat/refuel/rest a few hours, tax free so to speak.

Good luck, I've always wanted to have a cross-country trip-this is such a large and diverse country we live in, such a shame to not explore a bit.

We're going to Cleveland first and then heading down, otherwise we'd be heading right through the area for sure on 70, alas, we'll go to Indy/Chi area (enough wiggle room in btw ) and then blast through Kansas

Before we leave though we are going to stop at Samuel Dismoore's Garden of Eden, which is an relic, and likely a PTSD self-theropy, for a Civil War Vet....

Check it out: WIKI Link-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_of_Eden,_Luca s,_Kansas#Garden_of_ Eden

She is doing really well and healing FAST! Rishiman is adjusted to the new 'home' for a while and is greeting people at the door now... p-cool.
He says 'meow meow'... and said you'd know what that meant

If you need any 'in touch' info, lemme know since I'm not sure if I'll be on here very regular.
If not... you take care and stay well, enjoy the season and hope life is baring loads of fruit for you

Make sure you have some tunes.... In the U-haul there were several hours on the praries where I couldn't get ANY radio signal!

Long quiet afternoon.

I once had to endure a 13 hour drive to Raleigh, NC without music, it was terrible.
