What is the bright side for you right now?

Shit sucks for me mostly, but I am thankful for some things:


1. Bills are all payed. No collectors calling, nobody beating down my door, nobody shutting shit off.

2. Car is running good. Point A to point B, and on the weekends point C. No problem.

3. Got my drinks and my smokes. Enough to get me through the entire week.

4. Stable home. Landlord don't bother me, law don't bother me, I am the gatekeeper.

5. Family's lookin out. Family is the most important thing in the world. We take care of our own.

6. Got some spare change. Ain't nothing at Walmart that I can't buy.


So.... I'm just sayin, I may not be a Landed Gentry... but I'm good to go.

I'm broke as shit, but my bills are paid and my girlfriend just got back from the grocery store so everything should be smooth sailing til payday.

I only have one exam this week....so nothing too bad on that front.

Plus I have a big ole bag of chronic.

It appears that everything is all good.

My life rocks. Everyone is healthy. Got an awesome little grandbaby. Found my way to Buddhism, and that is really great. All I got on my mind now is finding work, and there's a world of possibilities to go forward in a better direction than I was going in my previous work life.

Me and my girl talk about this all the time. Our car just got broken beyond repair. She had to quit her job. We pay 1000 a month for a shitty 700 sq ft apt. Living check to check w no car no and a 4 month old son. Things are very bad for us. But we love each other very much. Were lucky to live in a nice house. I have a decent job with more hours than i need to work. Most important tho is our son is a very healthy happy baby. Both of us are relatively healthy. Things could be a lot worse and the promise of a better tommarow and our son keeps us going

This thread.. or rather.. replying to it.. seems to bring out.. really bring out.. aspects of personalities.. what is appreciated in life. In retrospect I would change some of what I wrote. Like I wrote I have regular sex.. but AL420 wrote about her lover making her happy. Same same but different I guess.. but at the same time similarities make all the difference. heh..
