Deja Vu
![]() This made me think....next time im going to do something crazy, like bordering on actual crazy crazy when i get deja vu. it could be my future self going back in time to do some crazy shit that creates a butterfly effect that ends up with me not dying somehow when i was supposed to die. DO yall ever get deja vu? whats it feel like. i havent gotten it in a long ass time ive kinda forgotten it...

I get very convincing deja vu. I don't connect it to death or meaning. I do connect it to dreams. Deja vu is like a great high. It's a completely natural, normal feeling that makes you go WTF. I suppose you could use that feeling to put some perspective on who you are.

when you get it, do you feel like its literally already happened before to your life or do you feel like you just kinda dreamed about whats happening before?
thats how it used to feel like for me, the dream thing. i never have felt like ive lived through something twice.

It feels like either ive dreamt it or my brain spazzed out, similar to the weird loops you get on ketamine where you think the same thing keeps happening over and over even though its not.

it completely removes me, to be sure. you cannot say it goes unnoticed in the least. but it's like a dream: easily forgotten. you can try to recapture it with drugs but with about the same randomness. i suppose the best thing you can do is try to remember what deja vu is like.

had a long interesting bout with past lives when i was huffing a bunch of ether. had some pretty startling hallucinations inhaling it in closed settings (a car) this led to a pretty constant feeling of deja vu that persisted till i dried out a bit.
good thing i didn't die huh i believe there is some record on yahooka of my ether huffing days. perhaps even pictures. i did it in waffle house even. it was not good. |

I have dreams about place/jobs/moments YEARS before the time/day/moment when I see something that throws me back into knowing that I've seen this before....
I'm not sure this is deja vu though.

I get deja vu experiences pretty regularly. I generally feel, when I'm there, that I have dreamed about the place or situation before, but I can't remember the dream. I don't really associate it with past lives; I've had deja vu visiting web sites before.

deja vu to me feels like I've done this exact same thing, or been in this exact same scenario before.

I think that deja vu is our subconcious telling us something. In somecases it may be telling us that we are missing something very important, too important for the back seat mind to keep quiet about, so it shouts to the driving seat mind. The driving seat mind hears a shout but can't understand what is being shouted.
Then the ego steps in and says that shout must be some kind of memory or dream. I don't get a lot of deja vu, but then again I am so stoned all of the time. |

If you didn't go back for seconds, it doesn't apply in this thread.
