Face Book Cracks me up

Ok so I know this is kinda mean but OMFG a girl I know from middle school and highschool added me as a friend. Shit I remember way back in 7th grade I used to really like her. So glad I never ended up dating her. Check this out. She ~22 years old. I know for a fact she graduated from my high school. How? is completely beyond me. I always go look at her status updates for a quick laugh. I really wish I could repost this on facebook but Im just not that much of a dick.

"Well 4 years ago today i was blast with a beautiful baby boy so we go to chuck E. cheese and sealibrat my babys birthday...and I love u hubby for alwas being there i trule am blast in so many ways"

And the cont down begins for hunters birthday

Had the beast family day ever whent to see cusen ashly play soccer then to the pumken pach then dinner now going home to relax

Still can't believe this. At least she is a nice person but god damn!!!

Spelling is lost art form among the Internet generation.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

There's some validity to it though

My sisters were raised on text messages and they both have atrocious spelling/grammar.

generally as you get older your ability to perceive the importance of how people see you in the world changes, its part of maturing.

thats why adults are more likely to use spell check when typing things. Old people are always asking how to spell things when spell check isnt readily available.

Hell i just filled out an application for re-admittance to college and it was spelled 'collefe' on the form. That's just lazy.

When i was younger, I was forced to read. Eventually I started loving it. I was reading a book a week on average throughout my whole elementary career.

They don't do that anymore. they don't give pizza rewards for reading or anything like that. Grammar will go down the shit hole as our education system gets lazy on it, as well as people in general get lazy. ffs there is automatic spell check in pretty much anything.

edit: I guess the book-it program is still going for pizza hut, I just don't think schools are participating.

I have a two browsers and an iPod that'll correct my spelling or at least point out where I went wrong, you would think that spending so much time staring at these things folks would learn something!

I do the same thing with my buddies sister. Totally a sweet girl, but dumb as a brick and has the most hilariously bad status updates, cracks me up almost daily. She's had a few gems in general, but the one I always remember is "resavor" for reservoir. There's another better one but I can't seem to remember it at the moment. The complete lack of punctuation and paragraph length updates also lends itself to funny recitations.

I blame the "no child left behind" policy of advancing children who really didn't learn.

Also hooked on phonics.

And government run education in general.

Yes, America produces more highly skilled/educated people than 20 years ago,

But there is also a much higher percentage of young people who don't even graduate from high school.
