chicken from my girlfriend's grandmas farm makes me wonder what animal is being sold to me as "chicken" in stores/restaurants

I made them last year for a Christmas party because one of the guys was bringing a date, and she was vegan. The guy was my buddy and I didn't want his lady to feel excluded so I whipped these up. Other than the nuts, they're really low in fat too. I'm telling you, you don't even miss the butter with this recipe. SO yummy. I wish I could send you some all wrapped up in a box with a sparkly red bow.

I've been buying meat from Save A Lot recently.

I hate thinking about what I'm putting inside myself.

can't really afford better though :/

I mean you could totally do that
but I'm about to go shopping today and I'm picking up everything I need to make them

I cooked bacon and eggs this morning in my cast iron fry pan. Giving a cast iron fry pan tonight at X-mas party.

Ever morning I have a shake with rice milk, T of coconut oil, T of chlorella, blue berries, heavy cream, raw cacao, raw protein, frozen grape ice cube, hemp oil, honey, xylitol, and chia gel. it wakes me up in the morning along with a few eggs.

I buy chicken from a local farm, and they are actually cheaper per pound than the prices at the grocery store. It's a really nice family and they offer tours of their farm (I've never been, but just the fact that they have nothing to hide makes me more trusting of their company). Maybe if you looked around you could find someone local to do business with.

And on the topic of chicken, I'm friends with a girl who used to date a guy in the Tyson family. Apparently he wouldn't even think about eating any of the food produced by his family's business because he knew how disgusting their facilities were.
