I think I logged in the other day to give a thanks to someone for a post I thought was hilarious. And today I logged into post a thanks on one of CC's posts, and to post my collection of games because i'm A HUGE NERD and couldn't resist it.

Working at it 4 hours a day man at a minimum.
I'm working on path-finding algorithms right now. I have no idea how it's done in other games code-wise, but I've devised a system that seems to work, at least on paper. I finished a working predictive simulator that generates a small population's daily routine in detail one day at a time, so now I'm working on having the possibility of you the player explore it, as well as having the NPCs know how to navigate the world when viewed in real time, so they're not just following pre-defined pathways once you start moving objects around in the levels. If you're curious enough, I'll take the time to explain how exactly my idea of path finding will work.
