Nah but really though I am not gonna drive a Kia, a Dodge, a chevy Aveo or a Daewoo.

Out of the fucking question.

If you can afford the payments, that is the way to go. You can get a better (and newer) car. That will save you money on repairs and gas.

Yeah I dont really want THAT car.

I'm going to try to get a 5 yr loan for like 8 or 9 g's and see what I can get. Depending on my interest rate.

I really want to get less than 60K miles and newer than 2005.

I bought my car used about 8 years ago when it had 60k miles on it. She has served me very well and I plan on getting another year out of her atleast.

see if you can get a low interest line of credit with your bank and drop the cash on a decent car you think will suit your needs and personality.

driving a chrysler 300 with 105k on the meter, aside from some rear shocks that got busted out driving back from kentucky(don't notice unless in the back seat), and some alternator trouble around 100k, and the stock speakers busting, which made from paper is expected, it hasn't had any trouble.

edit: they actually bought it at 3k, like a dealer's car-small change, but it means they've had it almost the entire time- i started paying them for it around 103k.

so not all american cars are complete shit.

it's quick, big and safe, feels nice crawling around and saving gas, which is good, because it's a rather big car. and there is that feeling that it's not going to die at a light, or i'm not going to have to worry about turning it off and getting it back on again.

whatevs

they did take care of it, so that's a grain of salt, but it's been an exceptional car for us. taken us to florida and up to new york, and even cleveland, several times.

small edits

You should research to see what vehicles fall in your price range that have the best consumer satisfaction and resale value.

Fall it love with the quality of the vehicle not the bells and whistles.

You can always add most of those later on.

Japanese stuff (that they make in Japan) is mega reliable if it is maintained IME.

Parts are expensive if anything does go wrong tho.

I would stay away from American. It really pains me to say that. We used to make great cares, but we don't anymore, I don't know why, but its a microcosm of whats wrong with America today.
I used to be a used cars salesman, I also sold new cars, but all the money was in used cars, so if you came to the lot not sure, you would be driving away in a used car.
Here is how id worked for us at the Volkswagen dealership... We had a ton of used cars, all good low mileage cars. 99% were X leased cars or trade Ins. So one one drives the car for 3-4 years, and comes back and gets another car. We buy your trade in for 4K, for some reason people trade their cars in for super cheap. We were also really good at making you feel like your trade in was the biggest pile of shit ever. "Oh what is that smell... do you have animals..." We sir you are in this car every day, Im sure you are used to it. That will cost us a lot to remove the smell, and I will have to get out all of those stains (even if there weren't any!)" Did you hear that clunking... yeah I will have to have that fixed before I can resale it. I need to make a few buck off of it sir. So I would have a trade in for example a 2009 Jetta with 45K miles for $3k and I would put maybe 500 bucks into making it "like new" I could then resell that car for $14K! We never listed prices (which did make it very hard to sell sometimes I am not very pushy) so you would come in and say I can spend 14K, so I would find the car with the largest margin and have you leaving paying 16k for it! I could go on for hours about selling cars, I only worked there for 8 months. I just went to lunch on day and said fuck it, I'm not going back. and that is very unlike me to do. worst job ever!
