What is that thing called?
Okay, so I was younger we had this cool drawing/art set that used a series of different gears/sprockets to create patterns when you used the tip of a pen or pencil to manipulate the apparatus. The parts were flat pieces of plastic and (if I remember correctly) brightly colored. There were interchangeable gears so you could change the pattern.
It's not an etch a sketch, nor a gyroscope, but in that ballpark except arts and crafts. But an etch a sketch/gyroscope hybrid does sound pretty cool. I did come across this: ![]() Nifty toy I also had as a youngin'.

If I allowed myself to collect every item that made me happy, my house would probably be filled to the brim with toys, craft supplies, vintage kitsch, and probably a shitload of books too. That was me attempting to practice self control.

Did you know that there's a direct correlation between the decline of Spirograph and the rise in gang activity?
Think about it
