I get what both of you are saying.

Blame the media on this one.

A proper report would have identified every nationality or none at all.

The reasoning behind this one was most likely to let Americans who had people on the cruise know that all Americans were accounted for.

Would have been nice if all had survived.
But with that many people in such a relatively small place the odds aren't in your favor.
