So did I. Doesn't make it smart by a long shot.

I think having an EPA cert and hvac/refrig experience is just as good (if not better) than having HVAC cert.

The guys at the parts house who give the exam are my buddies at this point and they let me look over that EPA test. 100 multiple choice questions... couldnt get easier... I just need to study one of these nights.

sometimes being the key word

For about a year ive been stuck in the big 26' box truck delivering kitchen equipment for 12 dollars an hour.

brb driving 300 miles to set up a 450lb oven then turn around and go back.

Really worth 12 an hour.

heavy sarcasm.

the best though might have been the 14 ovens in a south carolina summer in 3 days. with a guy who made 1.5 an hour more than me, didnt shower and couldnt drive the truck. such insult to injury. plus we're talking all over south carolina... not just one area... the entire state, side to side.

Like I told my son, people will pay you just to think after a point.

After shuffling papers for loan officers for 2 years at a bank, he's being promoted to loan officer.

Problem with making a career out of back breaking work, is backs do break.

As long as one can handle the stress, moving up the food chain really isn't all that difficult.

What I have been doing was most certainly back breaking, but by no means career worthy.

One day I just had enough. Either pay me enough to make ruining myself worth it or new job time. And here I am!
