Newport Beach, CA

So I leave Sunday for Newport Beach. I am traveling for work. I will have after 5pm Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday to myself. Usually when I travel, it's with my boss, and or co workers and I get stuck hanging out at the hotel bar every night. I am going to be traveling el solo. i don't have a lot of time but I want to make the most of it. Does anyone have any idea on what to do in Newport Beach CA, cool restaurants & bars. interesting museums, parks, stores etc.

I will hang up and wait for your responses. Thanks

unfortuneately i think its going to rain this weekend, so there might not be too many people out at the beach. but if you go north on pacific coast highway toward huntington, there are alot of restaurants and bars on mainstreet, and the main street pier has a rub'ys out on the water. new port has bars n stuff too, but im not exactly sure where. i think if you were to go south on pacific coast youll find alot of restaurants. if you see really expensive car dealerships everywhere, youre probably right in the right spot. i usually just party at the beach houses when im down there, so i might not be the one to ask

Have been to Cali a few times. Every time with work. I don't get how people can be so content with just sitting in a hotel bar, or a chain restaurant. How can you not want to explore, see and/or do something different.
