just adding some fuel to the discussion here.

i remember reading something recently like a new study that linked even more new proof to certain aspects of being gay being determined by enviornmental factors and the way someone is raised culturally... cant seem to find it now, but a quick search can find you some intersting stuff (and a bunch of crap so take it with a grain of salt).

this is a very hard topic to discuss without offending people. the fact of the matter is i simply cant say with certaintly whether homosexuality is a natural thing or something that comes to people through their raising and upbrining and cultural influences...

although ive seen lots of anecdotal evidence for the latter. i suppose its a chicken or the egg problem to some extent. something this lady says is pretty intersting - to paraphrase - "for people who think its biological, thats almost worse than thinking its caused by environment, because if someone is "gay" biologically, then they cant change if they wanted to, they are forced to be the way they are, whereas if it was environmental, they can , at least theoretically, chose to be either gay or not , depending on what they actually desire).

I stated my point that imo most homos are doing it because a) they are terrified of women. b) they are bored of regular sex.
Any real homosexuals (those who really feel they were born in the wrong body) tend to be very quiet and discreet about there sexuality. With these people I have no problem. ( I even know one or two in my cicle of associates).

I am not a homophobe, I believe people have the right to do what they want to to themselves.

Hopmosexuality is not a NORM and should not be accepted by society as one. The whole reason society is so fucked up is because there are no longer any family values.
How does gay marraige help that?

What I can't stand is the openess about it. Why the fuck did they need to come out of the closet.
I move we shove them all back into the closet where it has been for thousands of years.

we are natural born to mate with the opposite sex.
a small percentage goes wrong and prefers to mate with its own sex.
this does not make it right or wrong.

however nature takes care of this by killing off their genetics by lack of reproduction. even if they posses other strong traits and live powerfull positions in their species the genes are not passed on.
so the percentage of homosexuals in ANY species is very small.

saying that, in our species where many homosexuals have ruled, and had huge influence over most of the world for long periods of time, they have done it without (by and large) advertising their sexuality.

why does this need to change?

I do not personally hate anybody, gay or not.
I know several gay people and am unthreatened by their sexuality.


I just feel terrible for all of those poor paedophiles. Why shouldn't they be allowed to adopt and marry the children they are in love with. How sad for them to have to hide their sexuality and carry on in secret.

Also my heart goes out to the animal lovers, those who are in love with pigs, sheep, dogs etc
