Post harvest and pests

So the first of my four ladies is sooooo close to harvesting, and since I'm ready to give up on fighting the pests (caterpillars, some kind of mushy white thing--mealy bug?--and now spider mites yet again), I'm figuring I'll just go ahead and harvest her. The other three plants have a few caterpillars, but that's all.

So what do I do about these pests after harvest? I don't really want anything to keep feeding on my plants while I'm trying to dry them. I also don't really want to smoke a caterpillar (I'll leave that to some of those guys in the "other highs" forum, ha ha).

Any suggestions on getting them separated from sticky bud?

Thanks all,

u could instead of drying the buds normally dryu them in the microwave and that will kill all the bugs on it and i guess if u just shake the bud they should come off i dunno that was just a guess.

well if it is real bad try drying on a screen that way you brake up the bud in to smaller sizes and clean it by hand that should get most but micro waveing is a bad idea it can take some of the taste away! but dose work to!picking theam off well take time but i bet its worth it!tazz11

Yeah, I was afraid picking them out by hand was what it would come down to. Even if I nuke everything, those sticky, webby white things would never come out on their own. Man they're disgusting little things.

Thanks guys,
