YES! I've been using it daily and it has really improved my practise. Very thankful that I'm finding small ways to encourage progress.

Awww hail..... well that's awesome.

I concur about their usefulness.
Good for mindfulness on the go.

I've carried a small string of wooden beads for years now,
,usually in my front pocket.

I like your 'small things' take on it.
Life isn't made up of big things... it's an accumulation of the small things.

Knowing that you are chipping away at your goal each day is really great,
instead of feeling overwhelmed not accomplishing it all.

This is a good step in fighting the automated 'now' culture... the ADHD culture.
A good step in slowing things down.... seeing the gaps.... the moments of choice

Peace be with you reverie.

Very well said, Sage. Great perspective. Also like you referred to such moments as moments of choice. I agree. I've also found making room for gaps is so important for a sense of stability.

Rubix. That's great to hear. Sounds like you're shaping up to have a fantastic summer. I've been well. Busy with exams, writing for a couple magazines and performing some stuff. But I'm looking forward to summer where I can slow down and do some wandering around the continent. Hope the sun keeps shinin' on you.

I don't drink, or masturbate, or do drugs.

Let me have something. ;[

Lest we forget that nicotine is a just another drug...
A different form of mental masturbation or altered state of consciousness.

.... a socially acceptable one....

And therefore all the more dangerous ,in my opinion, than those we do in the shadows.

I'd probably serve you better to have a glass of red wine when you want a cig.
At least there'd be some health benefits.

I'm not perfect, man, but cigs are a waste of your breath, hands down.

But all that said... good on you for all the changes you've implemented.

You're right. I need to work on that.

The 'secret' is transformation through power of noticing.

When you want to do 'X' whatever it is, notice the conditions of that moment.

Where are you?
What is happening?
What are the sensations of the body?
The thoughts of the head?

Problems, in general, are windows into our Self, so we can look around.

Investigate.

Then, if nothing else, you know your intention in doing 'X'.
Bringing the mindfulness.
