Niece is same age as me, seems like a really cool person and yeah I'd like to meet her and my half brother but I'm conflicted because if this guy is as bad as I've always heard then he's pretty much a scum bag and I certainly have no room in my life for negative people.

I suppose I owe it to him, he's probably dying and that's why he wanted to contact us and what not. Heard his health is bad.

Not sure how to feel about all of it.
Did he do something personally to you that you're upset about still? If so.. Maybe just give him the opportunity to make an amends. Speaking from experience here, rough life situations are rarely conscious decisions that people make. No one wakes up one morning and decides they are going to be a scumbag, or a junkie or a criminal. We are all born innocent.. And then life has a way of knocking us around and putting us in situations where we have little choice in the matter on the road we should take..

That being said.. People change.. And besides, his kid(s?) never did anything you say, maybe they just wanna meet their uncle? Saying this from a place of love because you asked.. Maybe give this guy a second chance. Life is too short

What if the guy is a rapist or pedo?
Someone who rips off seniors?
Incest brother raper?
Gun thief!!?
Baby slapper?

There is debate to whether he is even my blood brother or not, my dad's first wife was screwing around at the time.

BUT if he is really my brother then there is a possibility that he is going to be at least somewhat like me...and tbh I don't know if I like that. As much as I have turned my life around I have the capability to be one manipulative SOB. If he is my daddy's son then I do not want to underestimate this man.

No he has never done anything to me, like I stated, I've never met him. I've just heard all the stories about him abandoning his kids, robbing people, being a junkie, etc.

My niece's intent seems to be pure, but however after she made contact with me, my dad's first wife got ahold of me on FB as well.

She asked me how my dad was. He has been dead since 1989. She claims she didn't know but I know that is absolute bullshit because her and my "brother" both came around lookin for money after he died (Dad owned a construction company and was p well off). They asked for money and then after that never heard from again.

I realize that my mom may be embellishing the truth on certain things but I find it impossible to believe this woman didn't know my father was dead.

Makes me very leery of these folks.

I wet the bed until I was like thirteen.

And then, occasionally after, when super inebriated.

I once stumbled onto a corpse when I was doing some court ordered volunteer work.

I was working with a crew of 25 people. We were ordered to clean out a "homeless nest" located on the onramp to the 405 freeway in Long Beach, and I saw a corpse hanging from a tree. His face was already decomposing...

If I remember the last time correctly...

I just ate red meat, served to me in an omelette, for the first time in over 10 years.

I asked for a change on the omelette of the day, which was tuna and goat cheese,
to goat cheese and veggies, at the servers suggestion.

So why the heck was there beef in it?
Ah well, I knew it'd go to waste.
So said an extra prayer of thanks for Mr. Cow.
And ate it.

It was a decent omelette, actually.

It was okay that I was disappointed though,
my flatmate didn't get what he thought he was either.

Whenever I scratch my balls, pubes, ass or armpits, I always sniff my fingers after. I love my own brand, I guess.

a couple of years ago, my sister told me that while we were kids she straight up hated me.

we are two years apart, so the sibling bickering and whatnot was fairly strong. I totally did pick on her and tease her and stuff, but when i look back on it it just seems like typical big brother stuff to me.

we are good friends now, with our friendship beginning in highschool. Around when we started smoking together ish.
When we were kids she annoyed the living shit out of me. Like hardcore annoying. But like.... still when i think about it it just seems like normal kid sibling stuff to me.

but yeah, apparently she took that teasing to heart, and probably will hold on to that shit in some way or another to the grave. Damn female grudges...

but yeah, when she told me she hated me as a kid it really hit me pretty hard and i think about it fairly often.

She also still holds a big grudge and has brought it up many times, about when we were younger when my parents had just split up and my dad moved out, my sister told me that she wanted to leave and move in with my father. I apparently told her (i dont remember it really. vaguely) that if she left it would destroy my mother and really fuck with the family.
Which it would have, considering my parents had just split. but..

then like a couple years later, my mother kicked me out of the house for some stupid shit, and i went to live with my father. I could have came back home after some time had passed, but when your own mother throws you out over nothing important, it kinda kills the home-vibe.. so i stayed and lived with my father.

in the years to come, my sister and mother had an extremely rough time and very rocky and angry relationship. (relationship is better now. They were both at fault. crazy womens. Largely blame my mother though as she was the adult supposedly. i digress)

Her teenage years were quite rough because of this. She couldnt come live with my father either, as me and him were already sharing a one-bedroom apartment.
Her teen years would have likely been much easier had i given her my spot with my father.

she still holds a hardcore grudge deep down, about how i said she shouldnt live with my dad cause it would ruin the family, and then ended up living with my dad myself. even though it was years later.

dat guilt.
