Speaking of bagels, we've been making awesome BLT's for breakfast this weekend

Bacon slices cut in half then baked in the oven on a sheet pan for 25-30 minutes in a 350 degree oven
Everything Bagel toasted, then buttered, then a bit of mayo
Sliced tomato, and lettuce

Then you arrange the bacon on the bottom half of the bagel, and lettuce and tomato on the top half.

Haha I just grabbed whatever I could find in the fridge and put it on the bagel. Olives, onions, ham, Italian seasoning, garlic, mushrooms and pizza sauce in the squeeze bottle..lots if mozzarella and broil..
I eat it with a knife and fork so I don't burn my mouth.

I should have used bacon gahhh!!

Ya lolol Grieves.. Reminds me of a cooking show

I've learned that it is always better to over explain when it comes to cooking/food prep. I've met plenty of people who can't do much more than order a pizza. Plus it makes it sound 74% better when presented in recipe form.

i bought some cottage cheese. I don't remember why. I don't really like it much just by itself.

What's something very simple I can do with it to make it taste better??

Make simple berry sauce, 1 cup strawberries 2 teaspoons lemon juice and sugar to taste, a couple tablespoons should be plenty, blend it all up and mix it with your cottage cheese.

Put some chives in it or onions.. Or garlic it up.. I wonder if you could bake it and make a hot dip maybe. Add some mayo or some other dressing.. To zippity doo dah it... Grate real cheddar in with it to thicken it up.

You could also buy the frozen strawberries in syrup.

maybe some pepper, idk, I like cottage cheese plain.

I've been making homemade pizzas lately, get the dough right and it tastes amazing

how i make the dough:
1) mix 1 cup hot water,1 tablespoon of olive oil,1 teaspoon of sugar
2) add yeast packet and let sit ~ 5minutes
3) add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 cup flower, and mix
4) continue to add flour, while kneading, until dough is only slightly sticky
5) in large bowl add 1 tablespoon olive oil, coat dough in olive oil and seal bowl
6) let dough rise overnight in fridge

Um, when I read a thread about munchies, I'm sort of expecting munchies to be part of the deal.

Puppy Chow
- box Chex mix
- bag of chocolate chips (mini morsels are best)
- cup of smooth peanut butter
- half stick melted butter
- teaspoon vanilla
- half cup powdered sugar

Pour Chex mix into a bowl. Set it aside. Mix chocolate chips, peanut butter, and melted butter in a microwave safe bowl. Nuke it for a minute. Stir, nuke it for another 15-20 seconds until a smooth consistency. Add the vanilla. Pour the peanut butter sauce in the bowl of Chex, stir and get even coverage. Pour the sauced Chex into a paper bag, add the powdered sugar, close up the bag, shake well. Enjoy!

Chocolate Dipped Peanut-Butter Pretzel Sandis
- 1 pound bag mini pretzels (checkerboard style work pretty well for this)
- 1 cup cream peanut butter
- half cup powdered sugar
- three quarters cup brown sugar
- quarter stick melted butter
- bag of chocolate chips (mini morsels are best)

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, this will be messy. Mix peanut butter, melted butter, and sugars together in a bowl until a blended doughy consistency. Extra powdered sugar helps if it is too sticky. Smear a glob of the filling between two pretzels sandwich style, set on the cookie sheet. Put the sandwiches in the freezer for 20-30 minutes to firm up the filling. While they be chillin, melt the bag of chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth. Dunk the pretzel sandis in the melted chocolate, place them back on the cookie sheet, put in the refrigerator until ready to serve ...

I don't have a name for this one
3 flour tortillas
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Heat a frying pan, put half a teaspoon of butter in and fry a tortilla until golden and crispy. Add the other half of the butter and flip the tortilla. Fry until crispy. Repeat with all tortillas.

Mix sugar cinnamon and cayenne. Sprinkle 1/3 on the middle of each tortilla. Fold it in thirds and enjoy.

These things were my favorite quick munchie. Have a glass of milk or some vanilla ice cream.

For that full container of cottage cheese:

add 1 can minced clams (tuna can sized)
add 2 TBSP mayonaise (or more)
salt & pepper (as you like it)

mix and use as chip dip

Just invented this and like it a lot so I thought I'd share.

Tropical Tuna/Chicken Salad
2:cans tuna or chicken
macadamia nuts
cashews
dried pineapple chunked
dried mango
mayo to taste

Mix all ingredients, serve on oatmeal bread.

I think this might be the perfect summer lunch with some lemonade and a gala apple.

You guys make me laugh

Kitch with his summer lunch, lemonade and gala apple, Sir-Ex and his Parmesan spinach cakes..Grieves and his Martha Stewart step by step instructions on how to make a blt..

This thread reminds me of the women from the Red Hat Society or something.

Love it
