edit: the ranges are in there for personal taste preference.
I have this shit in my fridge and am about to go cook it. It better be good or I'm coming for you and I'm going to add you to the middle of my human centipede.

Stale garlic bread from yesterday.

Microwave it for 20 seconds till its chewy like beef jerky but softer than the way it was when you put it in the microwave. Eat as much of it as you can until it gets hard as a rock again, repeat microwave part for about 10 seconds.. Till its edible again.. Continue to eat.. Repeat cycle as necessary until finished day old bread because there is nothing good in the house to eat.

Silly turm! All you have to do is spray or drip some water across it. As the water evaporates in the microwave it will rehydrate the garlic bread a bit and make it more tolerable.

I've done it in the oven lol. I guess the microwave might produce different results -- honestly I've only ever had one in my life and the only time I used it was to dry out a cigar that fell in the snow lol.

Lol that's way off the mark. Ive done the same except it was a cigarette in a puddle with a hair dryer. Didn't work either.

I wonder how well that would work on day old garlic bread.

I won't have to come for you Yet.....

It was a crowd pleaser all around. Served it on a bed of white rice. Made enough for leftovers tomorrow...Thanks for the suggestion and asking.

The only thing that we are going to do different for round two is cook up some asparagus to go alongside it.

I make a pot of brown rice and about a quart of homemade soup on most Sundays and it does for leftovers through most of the week. I eat a lot of raw produce on top of that. I am not a vegetarian or anything, I love eating lamb, that shit is good. Fish is great also. I just don't do with it at home too often. Usually, if I'm baking/cooking it's for some sort of an occasion.

Pineapple Sherbet

  • 1/4-1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pineapple, cored, trimmed, reserving 6 large wedges for garnish, puréed in a blender, and forced through a fine sieve (3 cups strained purée)
  • 1 1/2 cups well-chilled buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  1. In a small saucepan combine the sugar and 1/2 cup water, bring the mixture to a boil, and simmer it for 5 minutes, or until it is reduced to 1/2 cup.
  2. Let the sugar syrup cool completely. In a bowl whisk together the pineapple purée, the sugar syrup, the milk, the lemon juice, and pinch of salt.
  3. Chill the mixture until it is cold and freeze it in an ice-cream freezer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Serve the sherbet in scoops on dessert plates garnished with the reserved pineapple wedges and optional mint.

Yowza. The post before mine is a baseless accusation that "no one here cooks". I contextualized.

That sure was mean.
