think i just landed a job working for a bathroom remodeler. Pretty confident i have it but gonna find out for sure in the next 2 days.
Should pay a minimum of 100 a day, which i am more than happy with for basically entry level. After doing some other shit lately, im actually looking forward to working a day-time mon-fri labor job as well.

I've been bouncing around with jobs quite a bit the past couple weeks. Quit two different jobs.
Quit the first one cause it payed shitty and i came across a better oppurtunity. Then quit that job before i found something else actually just last week because i just really didnt like it. It was that Rehab job i brought up. The majority of the job itself wasnt too bad, basically a glorified baby sitting job. However two things just made it just super unenjoyable for me. One, was the constant drug talk.. and two, was the fact that i had to go and partcipate in AA/NA meetings every night. Shit made me BEYOND uncomfortable and anxious, considering i was always like the only non-addict in the room and you have to announce/declare yourself at every meeting and i dont lie n shit so it was always mega awkward for me. So yeah, i bailed after making some money.

but yeah, hoping i got this new job.

Also, SOK you should try to find work as a painter or painter's helper. You live near the beach and rich people's houses in SoCal right? In those areas there is seriously ALWAYS painting work going down.
They dont advertise on craigslist too often though. Two ways to go about it, would be to either look up painter's contact information in the same way a client would and then just call them and say you are looking for work(just say you have some basic experience, learn really fast, and are willing to do all the grunt/prep work etc etc), or fine painters on job sites and just approach them and say the same.

It is a labor job that pays decently, but like SOOOO much easier than most landscaping type labor usually.

Painting would be worse than what I'm doing now. Way more sun exposure and inhaling paint fumes. Homie don't play that game.

indoor painting is 0 sun exposure. I'm a ginger dude... and exterior painting really isnt that bad sun wise most of the time. No way is it worse than landscaping IMO. You generally dont paint in direct strong sun cause it dries to fast on ya.
and as for paint fumes, outside it is basically nonexistant and inside just open a window.

too bad you can't land a job making excuses lol. you'd be pro

I'm going to be painting and gardening g as my boss has two businesses..

Plus I want to sell my art in the side.. What I really want to do is paint clothing and turn it into art... I already bought everything I need to do it..

Then people can wear out a genuine piece of art.

I saw a pair of jean shorts on line that were going for 500 bucks just with splattered paint on them..

That's a little steep.

I have the paints, the dye kits the pens.. I just spent 300 bones on art supplies..
I felt sick after but you need to spend money to make money sometimes..

I have some good ideas..

Hope this works.
Worth a try.

In order to use anything that necessitates the use of a respirator the employer must cover the costs of a physical examination including breathing and lung capacity tests.

Of course this never happens but fumes and more specifically silica dust are about to become one of the major focuses for OSHA.

Just throwing that out there.

Residential painting you really don't have to worry about fumes all that much. Certain situations exist but most of the time it is not a problem. The main issue is probably drywall dust.

Commercial painters or like car/boat panting is hella dangerous/toxic though. I wouldnt do it. Aint worth it.

Everything's dangerous though.. Roofers.. That's dangerous.
Heavy equipment operation.. Dangerous.
Crossing guard.. Dangerous..
School teacher.. Dangerous..
Overnight Gas station attendant one of the most dangerous jobs around..
Look at anyone who works in a strip mall.. How many senior citizens have driven through the front windows because they hit the gas instead of the break...
More danger.
Window washers..
Stunt men
There's a danger to every job.
Pizza maker..

yeah... but there is "everything is dangerous", and then there is "guaranteed cancer/lung problems after X amount of time doing certain work".

im not sure what you are talking about now. You know ive been talking about like professional house painting right? And dangerous stuff i was referring to is like big time commercial painting like spray painting big warehouses or industry areas or boat paint spraying etc etc... not art painting.

ILL SAVE YOU TURM. YOU ARE NOT GONNA DIE ON MY WATCH.

Make sure you hold your paint brushes pointy end out so you don't hurt yourself.

the thing with dust and fumes and other forms of low level exposure is that problems might not appear until 40 years down the road

Wow that is an epic blast of narcissism.

Everyone starts out with a shitty to non-existent resume. The longer you keep it that way the longer it will stay that way.

Sign up for an online school. Take some basic courses to qualify for a real school, a real student loan [if needed] and get yourself a certificate or degree in an interest or knack of yours.

Or you can keep being the stereotypical white male douchebag who wonders why jobs and pussy aren't piling at his feet simply because all he has is being male and white.

Seems to me if Sok put as much effort into trying to better his situation as opposed to belly-achin' about it, he might actually find some kind of work he really enjoys & is good at it.
