I bought this rather large wood carving at a garage sale for one dollar. Does anyone know what it is?

hahaha, hmm i dunno it looks kinda odd, maybe it was just for decorative purposes, or maybe it was something for harvesting crops, plus the dudes in the picture look like farmers. I doubt it was actually used as a blade because wood is very impractical for trying to kill people, or cutting down trees.

Sort of looks like a paddle used to row a dougout canoe..........perha ps Polynesian (not quite the right shape). (based on the carvings)(maybe a replica sold to tourists)

Could be a stiring stick used in those large pots for stiring applebutter while it's cooking.(but the carvings say ....no!)

no really...I bet there was a giant fork that went with it at one time. Looks like a polynesian wall hanger thingie, shit was very popular during the seventies, though I don't know why.

Dig the picture though, definately worth the price.
