LSD isn't tested for in any standard test, the amounts are just to miniscule to show up without really elaborate systems and it's not cost efficient at all.

i heard that it is always in your system, like in your spinal fluid. I mean, it becomes a part of you. that is why some people have "flashbacks" (my mom says that they dont exist though). But I think that to test for it they have to do a spinal tap. I proabably goes out of you blood and whatnot pretty fast.

What you are about to see could never take place, several eminent scientists have assured us of this fact, as they are quick to point out...the world is flat.

Hasn't everyone been convinced that most of these so-called 'flashbacks' are simply a system of post-traumatic stress disorder. That's what I've been told, at least, on good authority. It makes sense as well, if you stop and consider all you've heard about 'flashbacks' and then put them in the post-traumatic stress disorder frame of reference.

I've also heard that a small amount of every psychoactive substance you consume remains in your spinal column.(kinda like the chicken pox virus) So it's bullshit, eh?

not according to my dare officers, she says after you do acid, when you crack your neck a lil bit leaks out and you have a flashback!

Wow.

That's really all I can say.

Studies of flashbacks are hard to evaluate because the term has been used so loosely and variably. On the broadest definition, it means the transitory recurrence of emotions and perceptions originally experienced while under the influence of a psychedelic drug. It can last seconds or hours; it can mimic any of the myriad aspects of a trip; and it can be blissful, interesting, annoying, or frightening. Most flashbacks are episodes of visual distortion, time distortion, physical symptoms, loss of ego boundaries, or relived intense emotion lasting a few seconds to a few minutes. Ordinarily they are only slightly disturbing, especially since the drug user usually recognizes them for what they are; they may even be regarded lightheartedly as "free trips." Occasionally they last longer, and in a small minority of cases they turn into repeated frightening images or thoughts. They usually decrease quickly in number and intensity with time, and rarely occur more than a few months after the original trip.

Almost everybody suffers flashbacks with or without LSD. Any intense emotional experience--the death of a loved one, the moment of discovery that one is in love, the moment of an automobile smashup or of a narrow escape from a smashup--may subsequently and unexpectedly return vividly to consciousness weeks or months later. Since the LSD trip is often an intense emotional experience, it is hardly surprising that it may similarly "flash back."

Flashbacks are most likely to occur under emotional stress or at a time of altered ego functioning; they are often induced by conditions like fatigue, drunkenness, marijuana intoxication, and even meditative states. Falling asleep is one of those times of consciousness change and diminished ego control; an increase in the hypnologic imagery common at the edge of sleep often follows psychedelic drug use and can be regarded as a kind of flashback. Dreams too may take on the vividness, intensity, and perceptual peculiarities of drug trips; this spontaneous recurrence of psychedelic experience in sleep (often very pleasant) has been called the high dream. Marijuana smoking is probably the most common single source of flashbacks. Many people become more sensitive to the psychedelic qualities of marijuana after using more powerful drugs, and some have flashbacks only when smoking marijuana. In one study frequency of marijuana use was found to be the only factor related to drugs that was correlated with number of psychedelic flashbacks.

Stupid D.A.R.E. people.

Oh and they were right about the drug test, don’t worry they won’t test for it on a standard test.

Oh! One more thing! Even if they did test for it, it's out of your system so quick they won't find anything if you haven't tripped very recently.

Good luck.

Unless you drop a few hits on the way to your drug test, and they are definetly testing you for acid, I wouldn't really worry

That would be a pretty wild trip though...

I've been scouring the medical journals website at medilexicon, hoping to find some scientific proof that it is not retained in the spinal column. I've googled for it and still cant come up with anything on retention. I, however, do not find this as sufficient enough evidence for that case. Even though every other reason for it staying in your spine has been ruled out, i.e. post-traumatic stress, ive cracked my back and not tripped, people are misinformed and dont know it (like me, only i know that im UNinformed) and link would put my troubles at ease. If y'all cant come up with anything, it would be a viable option to now assume people are full of shit except those on here who speak with conviction. Thanks if you can help.
Peace

dude, it's such a little amount, it should be gone very quick. as for flashbacks, rumor, like bananadine, and shit. don't listen to people who don't know. flashbacks were a joke, and now they over did it, like marijuana with it's... memory.....losss.... ..i think. lol,
