Uploading Images

Optimising your images to upload to the boards.

As this question is asked quite a lot I thought I would post a quick tutorial with a couple of screen shots to help people to resize their pictures to post on the boards, saw this on UKCULTIVATOR

For this tutorial I used a simple optimising tool available for free download from here: http://www.webattack.com/php/download.php?id=106703

Its 2.5MB so if you have dialup beware it might take a good few minutes.

Download and install the application, start the baby up, and then first step is to select your source folder, this is the folder where your original pictures are, then you need to select a destination folder, this is where your resized and optimised images will be placed after editing.

Now for the important bit, the settings!!

Look at the image below and adjust the settings, click on process images and wait for it to complete.

All you need to do then is upload the image from the destination folder and that’s it.

I don't always keep that set at .jpg, right? I adjust accordingly?

no you can tick as many as you need, usually jpeg is preferred.
