I think it's kinda funny how white people are into rastafarianism, when it is deffinatley a religion against white people, like the white kids that have dreads and then say that they are a rasta because they smoke weed/listen to Marley. I don't identify as a rasta but I know that it's *a lot* more than just having dreads/being vegetarian.

if rasta is against anything, it is against downpression, against colonialism, against wickedness, against the evil that is practiced by people of every color and nationality. you can read in this thread some of what Selassie said about the issue of racial inequality. many people interpret the words of Jesus to mean this or that, but just as it is ridiculous and delusion to say that Jesus hates this or that people, or that Christianity is a religion against arabs, so it is equally silly to say that rasta is against white people. ``...Man was given the access to those divine ingredients and because of his ignorance of truth he misused the highest power he possesed. So great was this power, so complete was his liberty in it, so absolute the domain of authority through it that the misuse of that power brought upon his family the very same conditions from which they suffer. Manīs finite capacity teaches him to become equal with the dust of the earth and that is why he is always the violator of divine orders....``

Personally I would like to know more about why Rastafarians think Haile Sellasie is the messiah.
Really all I know is that they believe he is the descended of King Solomon and the queen of Sheba. Thus making him part Jew

I don't get it.
People think im retarded for not eating red meat (a decision which was based on over 5 years of personal research that proves today's american red meat is of low quality, and detrimental to health, in so many ways) and that I practice a disciplined diet.... yet the same people praise this man, who is now dead, is God in the flesh? Also, some of the people that laugh so easily and readily at my beliefs follow Mainstream Christianity, a religion created by State, which is undeniable if you do your research. Choosing to NOT eat contaminated meat = DUMB DUMB DUMB Choosing to follow a dead man, who most people know NIL about = AWESOME, COOL, FUN! Eh, what else should i expect from here, lmao |

Oh. Well either way I can definately accept the possibility that this man was very close to divinity, although I dont contribute it to bloodline, or anything besides his own consciousness.
I still do not believe any man is a Son of God, in a sense that he was created higher than any other man. IMHO, we all have potential for the same divinity that any avatar has attained There have been so many examples of enlightenment, divinity, love, and expanded consciousness in embodiment throughout history that I doubt anyone can count..... I didnt know rastas were vegetarian, That makes a lot of sense, albert einstein was too, and many other RATIONAL people. I only eat the muscle of animals out of addiction, I know however that my body doesnt need it. Its been proven. Also, I too am not a fan of the babylonian lifestyle, and from my birth until now, and probably my death I will always lead an alternative lifestyle.....I just dont see the masses living the right way. Not that I am, but I will never stop searching until I find peace |
