compost?
i have this compost, made from all the kitchen vegetable scraps and coffee grounds and leaves and garden trimmings, and i put 3 shiskaberries into it, just straight compost
i did this before with bagseed and they grew like crazy compared to other soil mixes i tried but these shiskaberries, fully rooted clones in rockwool cubes, the tips and outermost edges of the leaves look like they had tiny holes burned into them, dead spots where only the lacy skeleton of the leaf remains. i havent seen any plant that looked quite like that before, and ive planted plenty of different things in that same compost. new leaves are growing out, and they are bright green and looking fine. ill try to get a pic this weekend, but untill then, what do you reckon? did they get "burned" by the compost? they dont look like the plants i have burned the crap out of with inorganic chemical ferts if that seems to be the case, does it make any sense to add fish emulsion or any ferts when watering? |

i aint a compost expert, but i dont think you can "burn" your ladies with such organic materials. A little fish emulsion will help em at this early stage.
I started a coupla plants myself 20 days ago and what really boosted them was the root stimulator. They grew 3-4 times in size in a week! straight on 30L pots by the way (from seed). 40% perlite |

well i wouldnt think so either, but i dont kno what would have caused these holes. if the pH was all crazy i wouldnt expect them to grow out new perfectly good bright green leaves, same if it were some deficiency
a virus? something... |

Depends on how fresh the compost is.
This is a convoluted one... it starts here tho. http://www.cannabisworld.org/vbporta...threadid=78126 These people that call themselves The 3LB (three little birds). They post thier good stuff in the soil and organics forum there. Always worth a read if you are into orgasmics |

A person named Kazzy has 2 bins, one she fills all winter and leaves all summer, and one she fills all summer and leaves all winter.
She always has a ready supply of perfectly aged compost. |
