i'm hoping that whatever i found on mushrooms in the park last weekend is true, whatever god and afterlife, just because everyone's dying....and i really hope all these people i've seen die go to someplace good, that they get penance and reward for what they've done in life...i'm willing to ignore logic for the sake of comfort.

Well, have fun with the time you have left, and if youre religious, be happy that you are about to go somewhere many times more pleasurable than this.
Its hard to say anything about death because its the one thing no one can really say anything about until youre gone. Dont get too down about it, it happens to everyone and there isnt really anything there to worry about

L&C - You're one of the people on this board who's posts I always take the time to read, because they are well thought out and often insightful and sometimes even inspiring.

It pain's me to know you're going though such a difficult time. I only wish there was more that could be done for you. For christmas this year, i've asked everyone who would normally give me present's to just forward that money onto the Cancer Society, or to just give me the money to put towards that. I know that it probably won't be a whole lot of money but I know that it'll be put to much better use then say a new xbox or some other material crap that I won't care about when i'm on my death bed.


Times like this make me realise just how special a gift Life is. Forget all the material things, all the cars and houses and boats and trips to cancun with topless dimes. Everyday I see others and myself chaseing these things and every now and then i get a slap in the face that makes me stop and think. About how lucky i am to have my health and i'm able to go about and live my life and experience everything that comes with that.

I'm really bad at trying to express how i feel about these types of situations, i guess i'll save the bullshit and try to get to the point, i hope you can beat this and don't stop trying until it's over, but, if you cannot beat the disease or if you do not have the energy to fight it then i hope you can enjoy every second of life until you pass on, do whatever you need to do to find peace. If you are to die soon i hope you can accept it and go peacefully without regret. I truly wish you the best and hope you can beat it, if not i hope you find peace in this life or the next.

wow L & C...I'm so sorry to hear that...I wish you nothing but peace, love, hope, and empathy...for both you and your loved ones in your time of need, I wish for you to beat this horrible disease, but things happen in life that can go for the worst...

I'm no good at this type of shit, but I lost my brother in June, and it's made me think a lot on the topic of death, and loss, and afterlife...I hope that for all of our sake's there is an afterlife and that we will someday meet again, perhaps just as a comfort thought.

But, nontheless I wish you nothing but a safe and peaceful passage through life, and whatever afterlife that is in store...
