i bought five white widow feminized seeds for $85 bucks and now most are in veg but the mother is in her third week of flowering i was just wondering is their any downside to buying feminized seeds. along the same line could someone give me the advantages to buying fem seeds as well. kinda like the pros and cons of feminized seeds.

Depending on how they were bred, they may be susceptible to hermaphrodism. Environmental factors may well have a lot to do with how sex is determined.
Feminised seeds are usually more expensive than normal seeds. For 85$ you could probably get a pack of 18 regular beans from the original breeder of WW. The advantage is that they should all be female so you shouldn't have to sex them.

I use fem seeds exclusively. I use them because I don't have room to grow several plants at once so I'm assured of getting a female. I have a very stable growing enviornment so my plants don't experience much stress so I haven't had but a couple of partial hermies. I've read where cloning is a no-no because of hermies. They are expensive but I've had a very good germination % and they're always girls.
