I need help choosing a strain

Hi there, I’m new to the forum and to growing and I need some help on choosing a strain, mostly because I don’t know witch seed bank should I trust and what brands sell the good seeds.

Right now I’m on a tight budget and space, so I was thinking about autoflowering.
I know that there’s a lot of hate towards autoflowering, but I can’t have anything else right now, so my plan is to plant some auto’s, save money from not buying trash for the price of gold in the street if those auto’s bud something, and in summer or earlier I might have the money for a decent closet with hps and have gold for a very low price for personal use

So with that in mind, I have a small greenhouse (1x1x1m, I might had some artificial light) that I can use outdoors, and right now I’m thinking on what strains I should choose.
I was thinking about Lowlife, I first considered Short Stuff but found a lot of reviews saying that some aren’t stable, and some lowlifes like the Auto Hindu Kush, Auto Ak-47 and the Auto White Russian have a product advertised as something I might like.

So my questions are:

Are lowlife seeds worth the money? Are they good outdoors? What auto-strains and seed brands do you think are the best for outdoor?

And is attitude-seed-bank trust worthy?

Thanks in advance, I know I’m a newb in growing xD but everyone has to start somewhere.

As far as I know The Attitude are a reasonably legit seed vendor, never bought from them myself.

Do you really need an autoflowering strain? The yields and quality are so so, you're paying gold for trash with ruderalis. You're unlikely to yield well by midsummer outdoors what4ver genetics you pick.

I have really limited space to do this, so using a normal strain I would have to wait till Feb. or Mar. to plant and it would be dificult as a first timer to keep the plant small.

Also the spot we're I'm growing catches most of light but not all and if it was normal it might start budding earlier or not?

indicas are short if you dont go ruderalis.

i hear good things about attitude and they look reputable but have never ordered from them or know of anyone who has. i think they are pretty big in europe but ship ww.

I've shown my problem to a friend and he agreed on helping me so we're gonna do a indoor grow, still we don't know what strains to use xD we we're thinking barneys farm, are they difficult? because they have won lots of stuff so I'm afraid it might be expert strains.

Gotta go with steering away from autoflower strains. With an indica you can train for height and flower as early as you need to. With ruderalis, you get what you get when the plant feels like it. Thats a major, added to the low yield and potency. Indicas are also relatively robust, so since your working with limited budget and space you might want something that can handle not-so-ideal growth conditions. Get you some Afghani.

No there shouldn't be anything especially difficult about barney's farm- depends which strain. Which ones take your fancy?

Strains which win cannabis cups and similar prizes- they are judged on the quality of the finished bud- not on how good a plant is for the grower. So they may or may not be what you're looking for.
I wouldn't put too much importance on a strain having won prizes .

Nirvana and KC Brains have some good strains for low cost.

Indicas will tend to be easiest if you have space limitations.

I went to nirvana and saw that they have this strain Ice I've not tried a lot of weed because around here there's not much and it's not top quality but sold at high prices and that one was the best one, only caught it once. Some say it's a beginners do you think it's a cool strain to start with?

Next week or so we're buying the stuff we need. I was thinking about Biobizz they have a full line of ferts for 55€, is it good or too much? Also can someone do it only with guano bloom, guano grow, and that kind of stuff?
Guano is the only organic we can get.

Ice is a great starter strain. Its a cross of Afghani, Skunk, and NL I think, so its a predominant Indica. From what I've heard (never toked Ice b4), its a decent high as well as being a pretty quick and compact grow. Its genes suggest a hardy lineage, so it sounds like a shoe in for what you're looking for. I say go for it.

Ice can produce some connoisseur bud. Cheap and easy too.

in that case we will do the ice, we're thinking about doing 2 strains, since ice is a indica if we wanna do another strain it is preferable to be indica too or not?

btw, anyone has used reserva privada's tora bora? it also seems like a nice weed but I've read about a 50% of the females turn hermies is that really the case or just people messing with the light/conditions?
Barney's LSD? is that cool weed and easy to grow?

It's easier if all your plants grow to a similar height and finish around the same time but it's not impossible to grow dissimilar strains at the same time- you just have to keep the canopy even and tailor your nutrients for each kind of plant.

Hermies are not uncommon with feminized strains. It's a concern. Some growers here have used feminized seeds to good effect though. I've grown some non feminised DNA Genetics LA Confidential (same people as Reserva Privada who do Tora Bora) and they did have a slight tendency to herm in the seed run which disappeared in subsequent clone runs.
Personally I never use feminised strains but I don't mind faffing around for months sexing the plants and choosing a good pheno for my purposes.

If it's your first try I'd just run one strain- keep things simple. You will probably get a fair variety of phenotypes from 1 packet of seeds anyway.
