Interesting though regarding the cold...would you store them in the fridge? It doesn't sound like the benefits are quite as clear cut as I thought

Straight from the fridge to the pot seems to work well for me- simulates an abrupt spring I guess.

I know you have to be careful though.....my brother-in-law stored pepper seeds I gave him in the fridge and there was condensation and they rotted.....

Yeah, some kind of desiccate...we use rice. No benefit to using a freezer unless you can get your temps to -196. Glass jar with a rubber clamp type lid a bit of rice. Looks like there is only about a 4% benefit to using the fridge.

Parently storing weed seed in the freezer can crack the seed casing and kill em.
