Making feminised seeds- take a female plant and make it herm by some means not normally found in nature (I think breeders use application of some chemical such as gibberellic acid or silver nitrate). Use the pollen to fertilise another female plant.
Seen as both parents are female there should only be female genes to pass on to the offspring so all of them should be female. Neither of the parents should be susceptible to hermaphrodism in a normal growing environment or the offspring may well inherit that trait. This goes for any plant to be used for breeding. Some "breeders" don't do the necessary stress tests on the parents or the progeny (growing samples and stressing them deliberately to see if they herm). So the plant forced to produce pollen may well have bad hermy tendencies which are not noted as the plant is being forced to herm with chems anyway.. Even if chems are used to induce herm- the plant is still by definition susceptible to herming and the offspring the result of hermie pollen. Having said that, poor breeding methods may well result in hermies from regular seed too. Aside from the hermy issue, the feminisation process does not guarantee 100% female offspring anyway. It appears that the environment during the germination and seedling stages has a large effect on the ratio of female to male plants. So the sex of a plant is the expression of the genes, it is not set in stone before germination. With regular seed, if conditions are right in the initial stages of a plant's life, on average there will be more female plants than male. It is a fairly complex subject, I'm not sure anyone understands it entirely. Unfortunately due to the clandestine nature of the seed biz, misinformation abounds. Try to research a strain before you buy it. Not all strains with the same name are the same, so do a little research on the breeder too.

I have heard other people having the same problem with them. The seed run was fine . They don't clone that easy so maybe the cuts got stressed.Anyway I'm going to have to cull them .

got mine from attitude, i don't really know much about good seed banks etc, but hope they do ok, buy got a sneaky feeling they won't due to the price, they not cheap for no reason i recon. plus its been bloody cold up in the loft the last 2 nights, checked the temp this morning before knocking the lights odd and it was 67 so im gonna have to stop pulling cold air in until the weather breaks.
