this is my POV:
you've tried to talk to your bro, but he shuts down. ergo, he's probably not going to be up for any sort of "outside" help with whatever problems he's having. my best advice is to maintain concern about him, but in a healthy way. Make sure he doesn't impact your happiness with his behaviour, and it should go without saying that while you should, as a brother, attempt to help him, you shouldn't feel like just because you can't talk to him it's somehow your fault or your shortcoming. all of this you probably know bearsmang but I feel like reiterating stuff like this sometimes just 'cuz.

anyways what I'm trying to say is to keep an eye on him but it seems like maybe all he needs is a little room? you can't force someone to change the way they are etc.
