high blood pressure

aight.. so I've always had good blood pressure. all of a sudden its between 135/85 to 140/90 . shit freaked me out! i quit cigarettes cold turkey and i exercise and eat healthy. my doctor doesn't seem concerned but I personally have a tendency toward paranoia. =) so my question is has anyone ever had a problem with smoking bud and their blood pressure?

I've researched quite a bit but I'm looking for personal stories because I'm pretty skeptical. I know the green calms me down and that's helpful but it also increases my heart rate. ahh I'm just confused.

I've never really had an issue with this, but i know that while you are high, your heart is pumping faster, increasing blood pressure and risk of heart attack (only during). This is used as anti-mj very often. But it is typical of your blood pressure to increase in slight amounts while high. As long as you have seen a doctor and he knows you smoke, you should be okay.

Or simply substitute garlic for salt in alot of cases, thus removing something that raises your bp and adding something that inconclusively helps lower it

mine has been up to 130/mid 70s as of late too. Dont know why...use lots of garlic and never salt beyond the recipe if there is any, and I use soy sauce when it calls for salt, in less quantity
