Cool Please help me enjoy weed.... :(

I've never usually had this problem when i began to smoke weed ( about 3 years ago ) but as of now, when i do smoke weed, i immediatly get extreamly uncomfortable and anxious. Its not exactly a panic attack, it feels more like my head is rushing through everything in my mind. I feel as if i have this huge "to do list"...I begin to think my life is a huge mess, like i was the one who fucked everything up. I can't enjoy smoking as much as i used too because of this. Most times when i'm offered to smoke, i turn it down because i dont want to feel like that. Could someone please give me some tips to help me enjoy the experience more? I really don't want to quit smoking, but if i continue to have a bad high, i might as well....

Ayyee. Weed is a psychadelic.

If your having underlying(s.p?) coarseness in your life or a bad head-space then she will circle around those things. Is there some things your possibly neglecting in your life? Any big changes in your life kind of recently(any deaths, moving, new school, graduation, new job, getting fired, losing a chick, even finding a chick)?

A good way to get back in good with smoking is learning how to "ride the waves" I call it. Finish everything you have to do in the day. Call up only your best of true friend(s). Put on a good movie/album whatever entertains you guys. Grab a bowl only fill it half way. Take a hit but stay focused on what your doing, not that your smoking. Pass it be a gentlemen/lady! Smoke at a SLOWER pace than you normally would. You been smoking blunts, bongs, steam-rollers lately?

Weed is alot like hallucinogenic drugs. After a bad heavy trip you don't wanna drop another ten-strip or munch up a fatty quarter of everybodies favorite fungus. You wanna ease yourself into a situation where you can be comfortable again.

Use cannabis more of a reward verses "just what you do". If you praise her she'll praise you.

Smokers anxiety is not uncommon just most guys are afraid to admit when their freaking out or w/e. Ride the waves, though not everyone is surf-able my fellow adventurer, so sometimes it's not bad to chill on the beach.

Anxiety in my opinion is a LOCKING device on your mind. Say your gonna go party with some new people or something. You get all stoned and end up sitting in the corner alone because your just so caught in your introspective worm-hole of a mind. When you should be out surfing the crowd . So in whatever trip your having be it weed, or w/e you can't let yourself get stuck in an anxious state, and if you realize your in an anxious state you cannot falter. You have to look it in the eyes and LAUGH at it. Cuz everything thats gonna tweak you out is made up in your head. In this case your being your worst enemy. You need to befriend whatever thoughts you are struggling with, or abandon them like a bad friend, get the feel of your board under your feet again. Find your bouyant point.

and let me know what's going on. I have been through this many times.

Ehh, life for me has been stressful, but not as stressful as it once had been. Even then i could smoke and forget about my problems! Now, its just like... do i really want to smoke? No i dont think think so....

The last time i smoked weed was 2 days ago, maybe about 3 blunts total throughout the day. I was with my best friend, her brother and his friend. I began to get anti - social, and couldnt think of anything worth saying. I felt as if when i opened my mouth, i was going to say something gay, and they would laugh at me. I absolutely cannot be around alot of people when im high, i just start to freak out and wanting to get away. I want to be a thousand miles away.... It kinda makes me mad that weed makes me feel this way. If im only thinking about one thing that stresses me out a little bit, after i smoke, it will turn into a million things that stress me out. I worry about things. Its crazy.

Soo.. i'm going to smoke me a J tonight before i go to bed... and i know im going to freak out...

PositiveVibez. You haven't said a lame thing that I've read. You need to get back on your feet again. I know it's hard to have self-confidence. I know people are brash(proof this forum). Honestly though, these people are your friends. Don't be afraid to talk to them. No one is out to hate on you, and if they are fuck 'em. Ya dig?

Don't smoke to forget P, smoke to embrace. Cannabis is a big amplifier of your feelings and ideas.

I know how you feel I'm a pretty anxious person as well. However I use cannabis for that believe it or not. Not because "dooooood it mellows me out mannnn". Because weed FREAKS me out. But if you can get atuned to freaking out over nothing when your stoned. The next time you do it sober, you know exactly what remedies this.

Though this might not be the "darkest days of your life", dark days still hold little light. You gotta attack these life issues at their roots if you can. If you can't then you gotta learn to tell them to piss off until the opprtunity arises.(though I believe anything can be changed).

Well if you've got that built into your head "I'm gonna freak out" don't be surprised if you do. Life is largely impacted on mentality. Your thoughts more so than your life though.

Have you looked into meditation? I don't even mean like having an instructor a specific mat, a specific posture. Just sitting down for 30 minutes a day and trying to quiet your mind as much as possible. Almost like a nap.

Meditation has changed my life, but I'm not gonna douse you with things like that

Also watch some comedy movies or youtube up "Meditation Music" you might be surprised with how it changes your attitude while stoned.

I think i might try meditation 30 minutes a day, i think it might really help me relax.
Its just when i smoke though that i get freaked, not at all when im sober.

positive vibes, i was a lot like you when i was younger, if i was stoned i would get nervous around strangers or groups of people. i'd be afraid of saying dumb shit or looking retarded...same shit your going through now.

you don't smoke enough weed. once you start smoking all day everyday you will build up a tolerance high enough that you can do anything high. don't get me wrong there is some weed out there that will knock us all out but for the most part just smoke all the time and eventually you'll be aight.

i mean if you have a job and your doing the right thing like being involved with family and maintaining the homestead whats to fret over?

and Mydriasis made a good point too, smoke a little at a time..you dont need to smoke whole blunts to get high if the weed is decent you only need 3 or 4 puffs. and don't sucumb to peer presssure if that's an issue.

The thing is, i've cut back on smoking ALOT.
I used to smoked weed all day, everyday.
Now its only once in awhile because of this whole ordeal.

well maybe it isnt worth it to smoke at all. i say im quitting all the time but....you know how it is, especially in a small town with nothing to do.

yeah weed tends to break down any mental barriers ive built up throughout a weedless day and makes me have to work shit out and come to peace with whatever is goin on. it's a great fucking thing

yo PV, this has been happening to me too. my heart beats faster, i get chills & shiver sometimes, and my legs wont stop moving. What ive been doing is smoking alot less. you dont need to be high all the time. dont be smokin 3 blunts, just say you're good, you dont want to smoke anymore. know your limitations.

it also helps a little if you've had a few drinks before smoking to relax a bit

Yeah... I had a friend who started having this happen to him out of the blue...


He continued smoking until he had a huge psychotic episode and spent a week in the psych ward. He was under the impression everyone was trying to kill him.

He's now a former shell of his old self, has, from what I have observed, crippling anxiety (if he gets bad enough attacks he literally freezes up and you can just see his eyes get all cloudy.. like he's not there) and severe depression.

Please, for the sake of your mind, STOP. I'm not saying this WILL happen if you continue, but IMO it's better not to risk it..

I mean if you guys think it's that serious then yeah just quit throw in the towel or w/e.

But I've had the shakes, and all that. I've blacked out several times from panic attacks while under the influence. A big thing is to make sure you've eaten BEFORE you smoke because once you smoke it lowers your blood sugar. Making you woozy and diluting your thoughts.

Then again I was at one point diagnosed with paranoid schitzophrenia. I still am not medicated and my spells of which have gotten a lot better.(Everyone use to be a cop to me, or an undercover agent trying to kill me). It's all about stress in my opinion.

I've had countless lsd flash-backs triggered from smoking weed. I guess it all just depends. Is it worth it to you to continue? Do you think your THAT far down? or are you just scared here and there?
