Finally bankrupt
Hey peepz I hope you're all well and high, long time no see, feels good posting again on the good old Yahooka boards, home sweet home...
![]() Some might even remember when I was posting about my gambling habits ages ago, it involved big time sports and horse racing betting, pokies as well as online poker/casino gambling... Over the course of 5 years I managed to get myself into a debt of over 100 grand ($84K USD), plus all the money I earned as a well paid subcontractor for various construction companies, earning as much as $80k a year (pre-tax) That pre-tax is funny though because I haven't paid one cent income tax since I started subcontracting. The taxation office couldn't get hold on me cause I changed my addresses and mobile phone numbers every other month or so. You just gotta love Australia... For those who think what a fucking bastard doesnt want to pay taxes but enjoys living in that country, 70 cents from every dollar spent on gambling or smokes goes back to the government, instead of paying 25-30% tax on my earnings I actually put three times the amount back into the economy by wasting my wage on my habit. The rest was spent on drugs which included a lot of alcohol, and some hookers. And cabs, and drugs, and friends, and drugs... So long story long, from today on I'm officially declared bankrupt. I don't have to pay one cent back to the banks and credit institutions who shoved their credit cards and unsecured personal loans up my arse anymore. I'm released from the chain of debt, I can earn and keep up to $42K (past tax) a year, and for every other dollar I earn more I'll have to pay 50c into the bankruptcy trustee account, therefore cash on hand FTW! I love this country but I'm not here to abuse the law. The Bankruptcy Act has been designed for the wealthy and the powerful, I'm just an example of how a poor and meaningless former war refugee lost in a new world can get help from the society and receive a second chance to start all over again... I'll take the chance and kick the gambling, I feel freed like I just got released from jail... fucking awesome! |

Still sounds like you're scamming the gov't.
I'm glad though because it sounds like it's made you happy. Hope that all goes well for you and nothing comes back and bites your ass.

What's that eye for an eye saying ?
![]() You are your own judge, as long as you know what happens if you get caught and can accept that, then I'd say you've fully embraced the choice. Good luck stickin' it man. Hope you find infinate happiness with your new 'freedom'

I was bankrupt a few years ago.
You are forgetting to mention some of the bad points of bankrupcy. 1, they take away your passport and you need special permission from the court to travel abroad. 2, NO credit cards and No loans allowed what so ever 3,monthly income / expenses reports to the 'reciever'. 4, you can't actually get out of the bankrupcy unless you pay around half of the debt back. That was over here, so how is over there? |

it's really easy to fall down that destructive path again
especially once u do really good for a while and you feel like you deserve a little reward and then one thing leads to another boom.

Lending is the most lucrative business on the planet. Think about it. Why is it that all the people who do the work, create all the goods and services, are all in hock to the bank, which does nothing but take deposits and make loans? The whole system is set up to fuck people over, risk free, with money that they create thru rules that apply to no other business. If you fuck them back, it's no sin. Refuse to pay back a buddy, that's something else. However, the banks are fair game. /rant ![]() The Rev |

![]() bankruptcy protection is nice but when everyone declares bankruptcy and stops paying what they owe then the financial system collapses and everyone gets fuked over.
