Time wise and monetarily things are working out to the best I can hope for at the moment but I don't think I'm interested in sharing how just now.

Still bored, still playing with the cats (guess what! it didn't get flattened like I thought) and putting the time to good use educationally.

So I guess I've decided that bored, lonely and liquid (or at least in the black) is a better alternative.

Also, small ray of hope, everyone who has shown an interest in the building has inquired as to whether or not I will be able to stay on as facilities manager. I guess I'll come with the rest of the machinery.

I've been there too. In fact, I started posting on YaHooka because I was bored at a job much like yours. It can slowly drive you nuts. If you're like me, you could work on projects of your own during that time, like writing a book, for example. If you don't have any interest in doing that, then just take the time to look for a job until you find something, then go. Spending your whole day useless can make you feel useless after awhile.
