ok i got a question for arrest warrent in canada...(please help)

ok so i got this warrent for my arrest in canada. whats the best way to take care of it? iv never been in trouble with the law b4. ok so 2 years ago i was partying @ my friends house. this guy was being solid saying hed shoot anyone one in the house. he told he was going to shoot my friends gf. my friend took the guy outside and push him down yelling "get ur gun then!!" the other guy said im sorry my friend then got in his car to go get more beer at the bar. then that guy got up and "fuck you don" dons my friend. he was walking to his trunk i ran up and pushd him and i shut the trunk the guy got up i startd punching him in the facehe was bleeding i guess when this was happening the guys cousin took the keys and throw them in the high grass he couldnt get in his trunk after that. the cops came after a while and took the guy away and where asking ques.i guess someone told them he was saying he was going to shoot me and it was true he did say he was going to shoot me. anyways he got uddering threats and idk someing with a weopen he had no weopen he was bullshitting. like a year later i had to go to court i didnt want to to go but i got sapena to go but i got high on that day and said fuck it and didnt go...

so now i got a warrent for not going to court what the fuck should i do??? i didnt know till my friend mitch got pickd up i guess he go a subpena to for the same thing that dude said he was goin to shoot him on the same and he had to go to court when i did he got a dui and the cops said he has a warrent for not going to court ...

he messaged me on facebook and told me i had a werrent cuz the cops askd about me or sum shit idk i want to ask b ut what should i do im scared to get fuckd around can they pick me up @ work where they served my subpena those fuckers haha plz i need advise!!! do i call the police and get it over with or wait till i get pickd up???

Is English your first language?

If you have a FTA and are from Canada I'd give them a call and see what you can do about it, or get a free consult from a lawyer.

i know im asking advice on how to take care of it! what should i do call the rcmp (Cops) and ask them if i have a warrent?

or just go to the cop shop and ask them if i do and turn myself in rite there?

I would suggest calling because then if you have to do any jail time then you will be able to do some last minute stuff. I'm sure it will just be a hefty fine. good luck

yah im a native lmfao but i dnt think it will help. lol... anyways thanks everyone idk what im going to get most likily a fine my friend mitch had to spend 3hours in jail for this and a fine. and his dad got comminity service and we all had to go to court 4 this topic i wrote. they got caught and told me what happen to them. so in the new year im going to turn my self in or after xmas lol but thx everyone again

My advice if you haven't turned yourself in already is to get a lawyer, pay their retainer and have your attorney go to the police to find out what they are going to do and what the DA (or whatever the state prosecutor is called in Canada) is willing to do as a plea arrangement. Let your lawyer be your 'go-between' first, then when you turn yourself in, have your lawyer with you so you can talk over some kind of agreement (or perhaps even a proffer).
