Distance in a relationship
My girlfriend and I live about 25 miles away from each other and neither of us have a car, so we only get to see each other on weekends(which we spend together from Fri-Sun) or whenever other mutual friends are able/willing to pick me up which is few and far between.
We text each other all day but I don't know how to keep conversations fresh. Neither of us work(although we're both looking) or go to school right now, so "How's your day going" is pretty much the same answer of "Just got up, watching TV". What are some ways to handle this?

wow thats no good. ki11a and i lived in different states for almost a year and managed to keep things more exiting than that lol. It rly depends on how much your into the person. Get on the webcamz and do dirty things haha. Talkin on the phone for a long time is key if you cant be around them If its not rly worth all that to you then bail id say.

25 miles is nothing...get a bus pass and quit whining...if you need to make excuses than you are just setting yourself up for failure...

I'm pretty sure he has a license, just no car that isn't occupied by someone else during the week.
Brush up on your convo skills: ask open-ended questions, make her talk about herself and vice versa, likes/dislikes, plan a surprise for her and make her want it all week long, etc... There's a million things Bearz, use your noggin.

It's just more REAL than texting, it seems to me. And Komp really has some good ideas. DO something TO talk about maybe? Watching anything interesting? Skype has cam access and so do other things. Seeing each other on a phone call could be really good for the ole heart as well. Also, if you aren't working why can't you be there or her there more than just weekend? Stay around for a few days and see if you can get a ride in the middle of the week even? You CAN do it Bearman.

My take on it is: 3 days a week is plenty.

I'm thinking this whole thing probably has to do more with your guys' personalities and experience than with the distance. If you need to see someone more than three whole days in a week, what you actually need is the opposite. I mean I guess it all depends; that's just how I feel, so take it as you will. Plus 25 miles is only about an hour and a half away by bike, and half that if you guys meet halfway.

yeah dude sounds like your bailing
25 miles is not alot i walk (no joke) 5km every morning to work, it takes me about 50 minutes if you get a bike, and if she'd meet you halfway or maybe you just don't even want this to work best of luck with the decision you make
