bears, yours might be one of the rare cases where low dose amphetamines just to kickstart your diet wouldn't be terribly unhealthy. mebbe try n get a small adderall script? I know I couldn't keep weight on when I was prescribed.

ok let me bring this convo back down to earth....

getting on amp to lose weight is extremely risky and probably just a bad idea. he will likely get addicted to the amp and then when hes gotta get off that hes gonna put weight back on and feel worse than he did in the first place.

i think you should talk to a registered nutrition counselor. you can jump start your metabolism by eating certain foods at certain times of day and doing excersize to make you body burn off the extra weight.

they prescribe adderall all the time, I had big scripts for years and never really got addicted. I'm not saying he should go out and start banging meth, just take some those lil orange pills.
