So I recently started buying from a guy I found on the net.

I've bought from him three times now, the first two without problems.

And he seems like a decent guy.

For the most part, if someone sells me weed and I don't care for it, I'll still smoke it if it's worth smoking.

If I get it from someone I intend to deal with regularly, I just tell them that I didn't care for the last stuff and ask if they have anything else available.

But anyway, I bought a half from this guy today that fails the "worth smoking" test.

It's brown, compressed, headache-inducing brickweed.

And I want to get my money back for it, or exchange it for something smokable of equal value.

Has anyone out there been a similar situation before? And if so, how did you handle it?

The thing is that I'd rather not alienate the guy.

Though I don't think I'd have too much trouble finding someone else to buy from, I don't have any problem with him other than this bag of crap he just sold me.

He doesn't live too far away, his prices are reasonable, and he seems like an okay dude.

So it'd be good if I could get him to take this crap back without having to start over with a new person.

And really, it's in his best interests to take it back.

He's been dealing with me long enough at this point to know that I'm not shady (or a cop), that I'm a regular source of income, and that I'm not some kid whose gonna blab his name to all my buddies.

So he stands to make a lot more from me by selling me smoke-worthy pot over the long term than he does by stiffing me on one half of hay.

But at the same time, not everyone in the business is very intelligent about the economics of it.

Anyway, I welcome your thoughts.

...and usually doesn't produce headaches, although the high and the taste can vary widely there's usually "a buzz in the baggie".

Your dealer is just a middleman, reselling whatever he can get.

Like Roach and No. 1(who have both been smoking weed longer than either you or I have been alive) said: Check it before you buy it. If they're not willing to let you taste it or at the very least touch it smell it and look at it, then you probably don't want to deal with them.

If it is truly unsmokeable, looks like you're out of luck until he unloads what he has.

If it's 'just okay', well then you have grounds to ask for a discount?

Lesson learned bro. I always ask if I can smoke a free bowl before I start buying off a new guy, if I like it I'll buy a fair amount (usually a half oz), if I don't like it, I'll buy a gram or two and then find another guy. And always smoke up a new dealer, they will put you ahead of other buyers.

Now where was I...after I toked some of this extremely potent strain called 'Green Crack'...from a grower I met online...no boolshit!!
Anyhow, I'd at least tell the dude that you're very disappointed with this last batch he shyster'd you with. Tell him that all along you've been very pleased with his product, but this latest pile of garbage is...uhh, let's see...a pile of garbage!!
You'd like to still purchase his reefer when he gets something besides dogshit, as you were going to turn your pals on to some of his very good smoke & probably placing some orders with him [& he wouldn't be meeting anyone else, as you'll do all the middling], but you're too ashamed to let your friends smoke any of that, as they'll just laugh & say to call them when you score some REAL stuff.

Just a thought.
